I really liked when Tito moved up to 154, he seem to be more stronger and comfortable. At 147 Tito had no legs what so ever. Whitaker backed him up in their fight in one of the rounds with his potshots. In the DLH fight, Tito could've been KO'd if DLH sat down on his punches more. Tito was off balanced threw most of the first couple rounds.

However, Tito looked SCARY when he moved up by just wrecking mofos. I had him at #1 P4P during that stretch run. Exciting fighter no doubt about it.

Tito is not a good boxer, but his punches are pretty accurate and have devastating power. Good boxers like Hopkins, Delahoya never had any trouble staying away from those punches tho...If he works on his boxing skills a lil more, i think he could be p4p king

Tito's strength is in his power and accuracy of his punches. He throws very technically sound punches and gets tremendous power from that left hook. However, when fighting with boxers of superior skill he seems to have problems, as was the case with Hopkins and Delahoya. Tito has been known for getting knocked down early in fights, but after that it seems to get him focused more and he generally ends up knocking the other guy out. He is definitely one of the best boricua fighters of all time.

[QUOTE=jose]Good fighter who can look amazing when he has the right guy in front of him.

If you come right at him he might kill you, but he has never shown the ability to cut off the ring.

Look at fights like DLH, Hopkins and Reid.

People forget but David Reid was making Tito look foolish. Reid won the first 6 rounds and dropped Tito in the 3rd, then Tito caught Reid flush and the fight was over.[/QUOTE
            yes hes a plodder
allround good technique, not exceptional but still good.
A little slow on his feet and not overly agile

All fighters have have parts of their games that are a little weak, it is all about how you maximise your strenghs and minimise your weaknesses.

Trinidad's weaknesses are footspeed and chin.

That is why Wright would have been such a good matchup.

There is no such thing as the perfect fighter, but I would give trinidad a shot with anybody 175 and down.

if tito were a super hero you could select on a video game, his strengths/weaknesses on a scale from 1 to 10 (1 being bad, 10 being good) his stats would read like this

                Conditioning - 9
                Power - 15
                Accuracy - 10
                Foot Speed - 5
                Technique - 8
                Hand Speed - 9
Chin - 7 (its really not that bad as people make it out to be, just like JMM was put on his ass against PAC, flash KD's)

i agree w/ the guy that said that as long as your strengths outweigh your weaknesses by a lot, then you're in a good position. he lost to arguably the best middle weight in the last 20 years. not too shabby. kellerman has always disliked tito, he prefers the mayweathers, sweet pea's and roy jones' of the world. he has an obsession w/ fighters who fight w/ fluidity, which tito is not, atleast never on his legs. but his arms move like no one else in the game if you ask me, except for JMM w/ his combos.

                  Tito

Tito has boxing skills. If you watch his early fights before and soon after he became a welter champ you would see Tito moving in and out, up and down constantly. He used his jab to come in and he went to the body every round. He became to dependent on his power and overconfident in his KO style winning. Against Mayorga he made a concerted effort to move from side to side. He used his jab consistanty to get in on Ricardo and showed his cat like reflexes are still there by getting under and away from punches. The only thing I wanted to see more of was the body work, hopefully his camp will see that to. The power will always be there. The resolve will always be there. If Tito uses his boxing skills to control the fight and works the body a little each round, he can't be beaten. At least not as he was against Hopkins. As far as Tito beating smaller, older guys, Joppy was in his prime and had never taken a beating. Reid did not win the first six rounds (what fight did you see?), yes he did make Tito miss, but Tito kept coming and Tito made him pay! He did not fall down and writhe in pain or moan like DLH did against BH. He always gives his all and is a great fighter. An all time great. All fighters have weakneses, but the great ones win anyway and that is what Tito has done. JUST WIN BABY!

Big puncher, good finisher, but somewhat one-dimensional, and is a ***** for retiring.

                    That's how I see it..

one off the best I've seen

I seen almost all trinidads fight and I must say. He has extraordinary power and has one off the best left hooks off the scene. Bernard hopkins just came with the best game plan and overpowered him every round. Against Vargas Tito knocked down vargas twice in the 1st if that didn't happen I could see Vargas winning the fight. In his fight with De La Hoya he was dominated from beginning till end it's absurd tito went home with a victory that day cause Oscar was giving him a boxing lesson. The future looks bright for tito (hopkins 40 years old) I think he will take over the middleweight division at the end of this or maybe next year. I don't see Hopkins continuing till he is 45. I hope Vargas is any good at 160 and quartey and it could really become the best division in the sport: quartey, Sturm, Vargas, Joppy, Taylor, Tito, I just hope it lives up to the expectations who will tell what's gonna happen?
