Funny that I never heard Mosley, Lopez, or Trout say he couldn't box. Mosley said he is just as fast and as strong as Pac and Mayweather are. Lopez got beaten to a pulp, Trout said that Alvarez was the better fighter that night. Not one of his recent opposition made a statement saying that they thought they got robbed.

Floyd may very well win and the catchweight may not have been needed but it was requested and requested for a reason. Roger sounded pretty humble when talking about Alvarez compared to how he normally talks, referring to fighting Canelo as "taking a risk"....somebody, somewhere has something close to what one might call a doubt regarding this fight.

Cause Mathysse has a lost to Zab, and by beating Garcia, it would be in the minds of some (not all) boxing fans that Matthysse having conquered his conqueror wouldn't need to rematch Zab.

Truth is if Canelo looses to anyone not named Floyd his value drops 25%.
if the Ginger loses every round against Cherrypicker in a whitewash, his value will drop also. The ginger has to atleast win 2-3 rounds and have 2-3 close ones to even claim a moral victory.

GB is just hoping Canelo can make the fight close enough to warrant a rematch.
They already have a built in excuse thanks to cherrypicekr.... because the ginger was weight drained he couldn't perform at his best

I don't think Floyd should take Roger's advice at this point especially when fighting against a fighter like Canelo who's naturally a bigger and stronger guy with underrated skills. Floyd can't be too aggressive against a guy like Canelo, he'd play right into Canelo's hands. When Floyd fights aggressive, he tends to plant his feet to put more power behind his punches and stand stationary with little to no subtle lateral movements.

Floyd Sr is a no B.S. type of trainer. He'll tell you what you're doing wrong and what you're doing right. I don't know if Roger trains other fighters differently than he trains Floyd, but he's more like a yes-man type of trainer who will tell Floyd what he needs to hear, not what he should or shouldn't do. I think after the Cotto fight, Floyd realized that he needs to put his ego aside and needs someone to tell him what he does wrong or right in the ring.

Post fight, losing fighters tend to say good things about their opponent. Not sure how much of that we should take seriously. Rather than pissing off important people, they'd probably not want to burn any bridges while expressing an interest in a rematch respectfully.

I remember Jorge Solis claiming Gamboa hit extremely hard, harder than Pacquiao at post fight. Does Gamboa hit harder than Pac... probably not.

GREAT! Then Fight Canelo Like You Fought Cotto; Not Run Like With Guerrero!

Cant believe Roger didnt use one f-bomb in that interview... that's not like him, he must be under the weather.

If Canelo is no beast, then stand in their and fight like you say "Floyd is a fighter", and not a track star, and take out Canelo. I'd love to see Floyd stand in there, trade, and back Canelo up.... REALLY????? Roger is REALLY under the weather, more like senile. Your gravy train Floyd JUNIOR is gonna get iced and knocked out by Canelo. Remember what Antonio Tarver did to Roy Jones, after a long career of hand picking opponents, and mis-picking the wrong guy. Canelo, will be your Antonio Tarver. Then what excuse do you Mayweathers have?!!?

Because showtime only sold 800,000 ppv for

Floyd and ghost and lost 12 million.

Canelo is the only marketable ppv.

                  Anyone else would bomb.

What lopez / mosley / trout etc, say is a good boxer is different than what the Mayweathers say because they are at the pinnacle of the sport ! Floyd got the catch weight because Canelo's people came at him a year ago talking about they will fight him at 150 ! Floyd remembered that and brought it up - why in the hell would the TOP guy in the sport let anyone gain an advantage in negotiations? The man is as focused out the ring as he is in it (pertaining to the sport). Floyd needs these types of fights to keep him on top - he already does not underestimate any opponent, trains everyday yada yada etc.. To everyone who says he better rush Floyd is ****** 1)Floyd is a hell of a lot stronger than people give him credit for 2) you do not see people running up on B-hop or Floyd because they pick these guys apart - imagine being the latest hype job who has a killer right hand, so you land the fight and in your mind you will out weight Floyd by at least 12 - 15 pounds etc.. round 1 you see how hard it is to hit Floyd - round 2 every time you miss with the right you get punished - round 3 he starts tagging you at will from multiple angles with the straight right hand - round 4 you stop being aggressive and stop pressing the fight because you cannot oops I mean will not throw your best punch, just ask Guerrero / Ortiz / mosley / marquez / hatton / sparring partners etc...that is one of the reason's why he has not had a KO since hatton (hatton was a real monster too tough for his own good before Floyd - never the same after) it is hard to KO someone that really doesn't want to be in there (Guerrero is a hell of a fighter, I have followed him since his signing with goosen years ago, he is a balls to the wall fighter - these guys lose heart and stop taking chances after the 3rd / 4th round - (the greats in any sport make it look so easy, that is what attracts us fans, but when you get in there and try it, or have watched your favorite sports for decades, you realize what it is you are witnessing) people walk up to the Jordan's / LeBron's / Floyd jr / Chavez sr. / emit smith / magic Johnson / larry birds / jerry rice etc and say you are the reason why I started playing said sport or why I began boxing, because you made it look so easy

For the millionth time, IF CANELO HAS TO DRAIN SO DRASTIC AND DRAMATICALLY LIKE YOU FANS CLAIM, THEN MAYBE HE SHOULD BE IN A DIFFERENT WEIGHT CLASS!!!! But I suppose he knows what he can do comfortably, can't believe he would put himself at a disadvantage fighting the best fighter in the world.. Stop *****ing, Canelo is not
