When Floyd fights aggressive, he tends to plant his feet to put more power behind his punches and stand stationary with little to no subtle lateral movements.

Floyd Sr is a no B.S. type of trainer. He'll tell you want you're doing wrong and what you're doing right. I don't know if Roger trains other fighters differently than he trains Floyd, but he's more like a yes-man type of trainer who will tell Floyd what he needs to hear, not what he should or shouldn't do. I think after the Cotto fight, Floyd realized that he needs to put his ego aside and needs someone to tell him what does wrong or right in the ring.
I'm not sure the whole "yes man" aspect is correct. From what I understand Roger's sharpness as a trainer has been diminishing and is evidenced by Floyd openly speaking about rejecting his uncle's advice if something isn't working. I got the sense that there was some real tension because the advice Roger was giving was no longer as useful.

If Canelo is no beast, then stand in their and fight like you say "Floyd is a fighter", and not a track star, and take out Canelo. I'd love to see Floyd stand in there, trade, and back Canelo up.... REALLY????? Roger is REALLY under the weather, more like senile. Your gravy train Floyd JUNIOR is gonna get iced and knocked out by Canelo. Remember what Antonio Tarver did to Roy Jones, after a long career of hand picking opponents, and mis-picking the wrong guy. Canelo, will be your Antonio Tarver. Then what excuse do you Mayweathers have?!!?
Roy Jones Jr. defeated Antonio Tarver the first go round. It was the rematch where he failed. Poor choice of example.

I agree. The Mayweather that fought Guerrero is the one that will show up for this one also. I dont think the aggressive Mayweather will have it easy with Canelo in front of him.

Floyd may very well win and the catchweight may not have been needed but it was requested and requested for a reason. Roger sounded pretty humble when talking about Alvarez compared to how he normally talks, referring to fighting Canelo as "taking a risk"....somebody, somewhere has something close to what one might call a doubt regarding this fight.
Austin Trout actually believed he won that fight.

Immediately after the fight with Canelo, he did accept the defeat and just went along with the decision. But a week after the fight, after seeing the fight himself, he said he disagreed with the decision. That he felt he won the fight. And he regrets making certain decisions in the negotiating process of the fight, but said it's a learning experience.

I agree with the headline, i thought canelo was pretty good, but i never understood all the hype. i think mayweather will win due to experiences in the ring as a seasoned veteran. If canelo applies enough constant pressure and stalks floyd all night he may have a chance. And all this catchweight talk is halarious. I love it how all the floyd fans are stickng up for floyd and are getting a taste of they're own medicine....lol. I dont think its a big deal, its only 2 pounds and its there to make it a fair fight.

He never said he won, he said he thought it was closer than the score cards indicated after watching the replay

I tend to agree because he only has 1 quality win in trout.

He's pretty fast and powerful but his cardio is a big question mark and hasn't faced any adversity since the other cotto put him on ***** street at 147 years ago. but besides trout he hasn't faced the quality opposition.

Canelo is the only marketable ppv.

Lmao, Why is everyone saying this fight did over 1 Million? I haven't seen 1 credible source backing your claim, enlighten me.
