Lucas used to be pretty wild with some of his shots around the time he fought Devon and Judah but it's very important that we acknowledge he has improved a hell of a lot since. he is a lot more cultured now and times his shots beautifully.
How does Lucas win with those ugly looping shots??

When lucas does throw those wide hooks, he is in good distance not to get countered back. When he's closer, he throws short shots. Just look at the hook that he put peterson down with in the 2nd and then the one in the 3rd. Lucas knows how to control distance and punching range really well and rarely, if ever smoothers himself.Comment

The man has fight changing punching power.
I do hear what the TS is saying, somewhat. He threw a punch from a Alabama, and it was probably the best thing to happen to Peterson in their bout.
But when he sits down and connects with one, God Bless Ya.
Matthysse-Garcia is up there in fights I want to see this year.Comment

Matthysse actually landed the left hand shot that put him down the second time when he was out of position.
Peterson had no business being hit with that- but he felt he had Lucas out of position and tried to catch him off of Matthysse's missed shot and got caught himself.Comment
