I think Miguel is still a good fight for anyone at junior-middleweight; but he's not the fighter he once was, and 154 isn't what he was born for. Cotto's name obviously still has value, but he's not a major victory for a top junior-middleweight like Lara. I'm not worried about Miguel losing to Bundrage; even a small, faded Cotto can handle "K-9." If a catastrophe happens and he loses to Bundrage, then, yeah, 0-3 Miguel doesn't look so impressive on Erislandy's record anymore. But, like I said, I'm not worried about Lara's legacy. I just want to see good fights.

When you have a "loss" and 2 "draws" Cotto is a good victory for anyone. Hell even Angulo is. Lara needs everything that he can get at this point.

Lara frustrates me. He has the talent and the tools, but he's inconsistent in activity and performance. People call Rigo boring, but I don't think so. I understand he's not to everyone's taste, but Guillermo is a boxing master who's a pleasure to watch at work. Gamboa is Gamboa. He has an electrifying style anyone can appreciate. Erislandy too often leaves me feeling like he was holding back, like he was capable of delivering so much more. He simply needs to let go and be more active. His boxer-puncher style requires more activity to be appealing. He can be much bigger if he steps it up.Lara better put on a show against Angulo, that means he needs to put punches together and look spectacular, not that move-straight left-grab bull**** he's been doing recently. This is his opportunity to shine and he needs to take full advantage of it. A guy with his talent should be much for famous than he is right now.Last edited by CubanGuyNYC; 06-01-2013, 12:00 PM.Comment

Sucks, man, but you're right.
Regarding the "loss" and two draws: We all know Lara beat P. Will, but the draws are debatable. It can be argued that Erislandy should've won the fight wit Martirosyan, but it can just as easily be argued he lost to Molina. As far as I'm concerned, the draws are a wash. They look ugly on his record, though.Comment

Not to impressed with Lara any more after him and Martirosyan stunk up the place like never before. He should learn from his fellow country men MasterRigo.
Doniare is more dangerous and was much bigger then Rigo and a very good counter puncher and Master Rigo schooled his arce hahaComment

You are right. We all know this but it's all about levarage. When it comes to negotiating and the haters they will go with the "official" results. Casuals don't know the real story behind it either. So when you have blemishes like that you need some decoration on your resume.Originally posted by CubanGuyNYCQuote:

Now that Lara is with Haymon I wonder how possible the Cotto fight could be.

I think Lara should wait until Cotto get's some of his step back which i think he is very capable off...then go in to slaughter that cow right now it just looks like he is trying to take advantage of it while it's down.Comment

Cotto will fight k9 then probably go after the winner of ishe smith v.s Carlos Molina then set up a big fight with Floyd or CaneloComment
