Junior middleweight Erislandy Lara (17-1-2, 11KOs) feels ready to go in a high stakes fight against Alfredo Angulo (22-2, 18KOs) on June 8th at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California. The fight is part of a Showtime televised tripleheader.

"I know him; I know the way that he fights and my plan, I'm prepared for that. I know his style. I know the way he fights, and I'm prepared for that and my plan is going to play out," Lara said. [Click Here To Read More]

This is a fight I'd like to see, rather than Cotto-Bundrage. That shit is garbage.

Translate that I think Erislandy Lara would like a nice pay-day by fighting Miguel Cotto.

I think it's a little too late now, Cotto seems shot now.
I'd rather see Lara fight the winner of Canelo vs Mayweather with Cotto IF he is successful against Buindrage maybe fighting against a fighter who will suit his style and be a close fight Sergey Rabchenko...
A dangerous up and coming ****er who wont completely box circles around him like I'd imagine Lara doing.

Yea but then if Lara beats Cotto they will say "Oh Lara beat a washed up Cotto coming off 2 losses". So if he gets a win over K9 then that'll be better.

I'm not looking at it from the perspective of Erislandy's resume. I'm looking at it as a much better fight than Cotto-Bundrage. Miguel has lost a step, and he's not fighting at his best weight, but he would make a good fight with Lara. "K-9" was never very good to begin with, but he's just terrible now. That fight with Ishe Smith was embarrassing.

Lara would beat cotto, another crafty southpaw for cotto? And lara is much better than trout IMO.

Sergey Rabchenko is a good fighter, did you see him knock out Ryan Rhodes from the southpaw stance? He's a hard hitting ****er that can fight orthodox and southpaw.

No way Cotto is going to fight Lara. This fight will send Cotto directly to retirement. Simple Lara is way too much for him
