I don't think either Floyd nor Manny are "afraid" to get in the ring with each other. I think Floyd, Golden Boy, Arum, are the biggest obstacles. Floyd because he wanted the blood and because he feels he deserves more money (which he does), and Golden Boy because they will not back down to Bob, and Bob because he's afraid of Mayweather doing to his boy what Marquez did, plus he doesn't want to do business with Golden Boy and Mayweather.

But in the end, imo, that fight didn't get made mainly because Bob fears Floyd ****ing up his boy and ruining his Golden Goose.

READ that again. he agreed but wanted 10ml for cotto or hatton: Which if im correct means he wanted the cotto fight right? I mean he asked for it right? He tried to get it in a contract right? Arum only offered floyd a bs 7 mill for cotto. your saying he arum offered floyd a career high payday for cotto? A mill less for cotto but 8 for margo? Floyd made 8 with baldo.

Arum said while Mayweather would have taken the $8 million to fight Margarito, he asked for a $10 million guarantee to fight opponents such as Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton, when Arum was only willing to guarantee $7 million.

Arum said Mayweather also asked for $20 million to fight De La Hoya, a fight Arum said he wasn't interested in participating in.

and yes they were and probably still are in a money battle floyd feels arum owes him and Arum feels the same:

ayweather claims that Arum shortchanged him on matches against Arturo Gatti in 2005 and Zab Judah in 2006. In the lawsuit, Mayweather said he was due 85% of Top Rank's revenue from the Gatti fight and 80% from the Judah fight. He claims Arum has refused to turn over the records for accounting. Mayweather has asked for the statutory minimum of $10,000 on each of the five counts, but would be in line for millions in punitive damages on a breach of contract claim.
I feel like I just learned so much from one post. thx for sharing. So Arum didn't want to do the De la hoya fight? What the hell? Not enough money?

      What!?

AFTER Fiddy was basically told to take a hike by Floyd. Right?

And are you telling me that the first negotiation was Floyd's fault? C'mon, man.

I think after that first negotiation Floyd became leary and skeptical because Manny made such a big deal about the blood testing then after that it was all bullshidt. But I have no doubt at all that Floyd wanted that fight back in 2009 and Manny and Arum did not for whtever reaason.
