The catchweight is unnecessary and pointless (same as it was for Pac against Cotto) but not the scandal some make it out to be. Honestly, I love this fight.

However, the hypocrisy....the sheer stinking hypocrisy from Floyd is on another level. In the grand scheme of things, it doesn't mean much. But the Flaggots basically want us not to point this out.

It's OK for Floyd to dump on Manny's legacy but we can't say anything about Floyd using a CW. We can't use his own words and logic. We have to forget he ever said it.

Now, while I find all the "Catchweight King" jibes kinda tiresome....**** it. Floyd deserves it. He's getting trolled like he trolled on Pac. He made a conscious decision to pursue the CW angle. Now live with it when you're getting it in return. His own words have condemned him.

dawson went down a division as he asked to do, the difference here is that floyd is asking canelo to come in 1 pound less BEFORE REHYDRATION than he did in he last fight in which he was 153 during weigh ins. HOW IS THIS COMPARABLE TO DAWSON WARD????

Everyone agrees its the hypocrisy, catch weights r part of the sport, no issues there.

They are, but not when the one demanding the catchweight is a two time champion at the weight he is so desperate to avoid. That's my problem with it, as well as the hypocrisy.

Yes, I lost all respect for my government when they won 2 titles at JMW, then forced another JMW to weigh in at a weight below the official JMW limit, yet still wanted him to risk his JMW titles, despite previously saying that they don't agree with catch weights.

At least I think that's what you were asking, anyway.

I agree with this, it is 100% the hypocrisy.

If Floyd never said anything catchweights in the past, there would not be this type of backlash. We'd all dismiss it as w/e. Obviously CW's aren't the most optimal condition but I don't think there would be such an outcry.

But because of his position on CW's in the last 3 years, saying he doesn't like them, that Pacquiao's win over Cotto didn't count etc... It makes him look like a huge phony.
