Calzaghe beat Lacy- who was really just a showtime hype job.
He did beat a prime Kessler though, and I give him full credit for that, that was a big win at the time. Much harder earned than Froch's win over Kessler.
Calzaghe lost to Hopkins in my opinion. I didn't take the weak volume shoulder punching to be superior to the accurate power shots from Bernard in that fight + the knockdown.
Calzaghe would have lost to Andre Ward if it ever could have come to fruition. Ward could do everything Hopkins did to a higher degree and without losing stamina, etc.
Ward will make Froch look like a cab driver if they rematch and he doesn't have any injuries going into the fight.

Froch and Kessler will always do a thrilling must see fight. But in truth Carl popularity has sky rocketed but Kessler hasn't done much to qualify as a fantastic win.
Carl is the money man of the divsion right now and one of the top 168 but he is not the best. Froch is one of my favorite fighters and I will always give him a chance to beat any of the top SMW. His best win is Bute

Froch is cleary a bit over excited after his last fight though, he needs to clam down!
As for Hunter, well, this is the same dude who tried to hype up Khan's win over Diaz. I'm sick of hearing from this zen Suge Knight wannabe to be honest.

I got love for Froch but I find it funny how Team Froch are trying to turn people against Ward and go on as if Ward needs Froch, etc. Andre Ward dismantled pretty much everyone at 168 including Froch. The way they were acting on ringside is as if Froch is calling the shots...Ward is THE MAN at 168 and if Froch ever wants to be the man then he has to beat Ward. SIMPLE
The Froch guys are saying they should "leave Ward out to dry" because he lacks commercial success...really they know they will get beat probably worse than the first time because Ward knows exactly what Froch is about and won't have any of that "tournament final" nerves.
