Shouldn't be a big deal for Canelo to drop those 2 extra lbs I suppose.

It's not that big a deal to Canelo or his team so I don't see why fans have got to ***** & moan.

the fight is at 152.............and anyone who knows about business (who has a job and a life off of boxingscene.com) would know that negotiation doesn't work like that. you don't just come in and give up your raw number. 147 (team maywather knows golden boy wouldn't accept that) so you keep shooting upwards in till you meet at 152. it's not about the first number you throw out there, it's about how far you move the guy from his original stance that makes you comfortable. (in this case 152)


this is simple negotiating tactics.

Great fight! I like the catchweight. Im happy floyd is showing some balls to take a fight with a young hungry kid on some big wins.

I feel Canelo has the slipping head movement and footwork to catch floyd. On the same token floyd has the ability to make canelo miss. I dont see Canelo getting KOed but Floyd could win a decision. I can see Canelo hurting FLoyd if he gets caught. Canelo should wait for bombs in the later rounds and try to slow down floyds footwork with cutting the ring off and body work on the slips and bons early cause if Canelo catches Floyd off the bat we can pretty much see a running fest.

The **** people are saying now is so awesome, after thousands and thousands of posts ripping Pacquiao. This is awesome. I hope Alvarez comes in at 154 so they talk about how unprofessional not weighing in at the agreed upon weight is.

And then we will nail their ass when they do by reminding them of the Floyd-Marquez fight. That put themselves into a Catch-22. Yesterday was a beautiful day watching them self-destruct.

If you counter a catchweight with a catchweight what is that? Please explain? I'll explain it for you. It means the other side is OFFERING a catchweight. Saul could have told Floyd 154 or nothing and went on to build his legacy without him. So you are not correct.

Are you just plain ******?? The Catchweight blame goes to the guy who placed the STIPULATION on the lower weight, not the back and forth crap. We are not talking about a settled weight. We are talking about WHO is to blame in making a Catchweight stipulation!!! There would be NO counter-offer if Floyd had not demanded a Catchweight to begin with.
