On the face it is completely bogus. A thread actually gets deleted here about once a month, maybe less. Inflammatory threads are usually just locked.

If Hunter said it then it would be on every boxing site on the web. The fact that most other sites probably saw/heard about it and didn't run it themselves pretty much speaks for itself.

Not if the source was to boxingscene itself, which is what the beginning of the article suggested.

As you said he made some very offensive Uncle Tom remarks in the past. None of which were ever taken down after being posted nor were they censored by boxingscene in any way.

Choosing to assume this story is true and proliferate it (which you are doing with nothing to link it to) instead of assuming it is false when all evidence clearly points to the latter is just proof of an underlying bias/agenda.

That's because they were made in public in front of cameras and media.

Steve Smoger is a twat of a ref! In the Jeff Lacy Robin Reid Fight, he actually helped Lacy off the floof by pulling him up! Arou d the same time, Mike Tyson fought Kevin McBride and fell to the floor in exhaustion and looked for the ref to help him up but rightly so the ref said he had to get up under his own power.

Also in the Reid fight, Smoger calls to "stop" 3 times as Reid had just pushed his head in to Lacy. Both fighters stop and Reid turns to Smoger and while hes looking at Smoger, Lacy turns to face Reid and winds up a huge right hook and smashes it in to the side of Reids head. Reid has a delayed reaction and drops to one knee, the first time he had ever been down but not surprising seeing as he had been told to stop by the ref and was stood looking and listening to the ref while Lacy cheated 1000 times worse than Mayweather against Ortiz. While Reid is on one knee Smoger deducts REID a point and tells him to get up and continue fighting!

Smoger is an absolute wanker of a ref! Watch the fight, the guys a joke!
