That ain't right. Just because Floyd stays the same weight, that's his prerogative. No one told him he has to do that. If anything, given his style, that's probably better than coming in heavier.

P.S. Have you seen Floyd @ 154 (I know he weighs 152)? The guy looks chiseled beyond belief. He doesn't want to put on weight, that's his choice. The same goes for Canelo.

Same day weigh-in is banned right? I just hope there's no sting in the tail on this.

The WBC is supposed to have a rule in title fights that a fighter can rehydrate no more than 10%, so that would mean Canelo has to weigh no more than 167.

Haven't heard anything so was just wondering.
I hope not because that would be unfair, OBVIOUSLY.

Be interesting to see if Canelo goes for sheer size as his primary key to victory. Nothing else has seemed to work to beat Floyd so far. Should be a good'un.
What size? He is barely taller than Floyd and his body mass advantage is overrated and overstated.

Either his skills pay the bills or they won't. And I think they will. He showed me something in that Trout bout (even though we spent a great deal of the night after the fight debating whether it was a robbery win). If Floyd can fend off all of Canelo's punches with his superb defense, I think Canelo can do just as well on the defensive side, a la as he did Vs Trout.

I think Canelo should try to come in a little lighter, with extra stamina and speed.
You know Floyd is going to be moving all around that ring and Canelo is going to need that stamina to cut off the ring and pin Floyd down.
He does not need to pin him down. All he has to do is play Ring General.

If Floyd moves around, don't chase him. Stand in the ring and let him to you. How ****** would Floyd look if Canelo wasn't even applying real pressure and he was already on the backfoot.

What he needs to do is fight in the middle of the ring, bend his knees and use his upper body and head movement for defense, as he demonstrated Vs Trout. Lets see what Floyd can do offensively, instead of always getting it done with his defense first because some guy is coming after him head on.

                  Canelo is no Guerrero.

First time I heard about re-hydration clause was when Floyd was flirting with a fight with Winky, so I wouldn't doubt if they tried put something on there.

172 is too much weight. In order to deal with Floyds movement and hand speed Canelo has to be faster. 165 is probably closer to where he wants to be. And if Canelos really in tip top shape he wont blow up after the weigh in.
