Is there a re-hydration limit for Canelo?

Assuming he makes the 152 weigh in limit is Floyd gonna let Canelo weigh the 170 he came in at against Trout or has that been capped as well?

Haven't heard anything so was just wondering.

There will probably be a re-hydration clause ( and a fine) if Canelo fails to make the 152 limit.

Ellerbe already confirmed there is no rehydration limit.

should be... but i doubt it.....

canelo's team weren't willing to budge on ****....

they should have set the weight at 154, with the provision being he couldn't come in over 160.....

If I were advising him I would train to rehydrate to 165, no more! His best sparing will probably be at 158-162, so thats what your looking for as you rehydraste from 52 BUT you can overdue it easily and rehydrate yourself right out of shape!! Then you will have ups & downs during a fight and if you get stuck in the "downs" you get your butt kicked (ala Dawson vs Ward)
152 to 172 is way to much, he has a thick body but he's also a short guy like Floyd! Ray.

So, you think it's smart for Canelo to only drink water, the night before the fight???

              Cheers!

Be interesting to see if Canelo goes for sheer size as his primary key to victory. Nothing else has seemed to work to beat Floyd so far. Should be a good'un.

Floyd isn't as physical as Ward, and he doesn't pump the jab non stop like Trout. Nelo can afford some lulls in the action from time to time.

Most people think Canelo should try to impose size but I think that's fools gold.
I think Canelo should try to come in a little lighter, with extra stamina and speed.
You know Floyd is going to be moving all around that ring and Canelo is going to need that stamina to cut off the ring and pin Floyd down.
