It's exactly like Andre was saying six months ago: Froch and Kessler make noise like they want the rematch because they're supposed to want it, but neither fighter has had any interest or intention of fighting Ward again. Their egos just can't handle saying "I'm not in the guys league, no point in a rematch"

Froch even had the nerve to say that Saturdays fight would determine who was the best SMW in the world for ****s sake. And now he says that Ward would have to come to the UK for a rematch? Sure sounds like you want redemption, Carl.

They can criticize Wards style all day, but the fact of the matter is that a fight between Froch and Ward wouldn't be so boring if Froch was able to make it competitive and not get dominated by a guy fighting with one hand. Ugly style? Well do us all a favor and go beat him so we won't have to watch him any more, otherwise shut the **** up.

I am a huge Froch fan but got to keep it real: Boo this man.

If you watch the Froch-Ward fight he did fight that way for many of the rounds, his hands were too fast for Froch. It's the Kessler bout where he did a lot of clinching.

However, it's just Ward's natural style to get up close and fight inside, that's why he ends up in that position regardless.

it's called boxing. ward actually gets in close and works in virtually every fight, to boot.

i don't see you beefing when wladimir klitschko boxes somebody's doors off.

the onus of "making it a fight" is on the opponent

"He's got a bit big for his boots recently - he's calling all the shots," Froch said Ward. "He's got to realise I'm WBA and IBF champion, if he wants the titles then come and win them off me." - What the hell is he going on about? Ward is the wba champion and Ring champion Froch's wba belt is completely meaningless

Froch will chase the money fights.

Ward has no fans, isn't PPV material and is a stylistic nightmare for Carl.

I honestly think this is a ploy to get Ward mad enough to go to the UK for a fight

                      I called this.

However, Hearn was quick to dismiss the possibility of Froch moving up to light-heavyweight, which would almost certainly rule out the chances of the much-interested Bernard Hopkins facing the Brit.
"I'm not interested in Carl moving up," Hearn added. "Carl gets in the ring at 12-4. A light-heavyweight could be 13-5 or up to 14 stone, leaving Carl at a massive disadvantage. Fighters like [Bernard] Hopkins are just too big."

                      http://www.espn.co.uk/boxing/sport/story/209718.html

Firstly, Eddie - Hopkins is willing to do a catchweight, secondly if you are going to go around calling yourself better than Joe how can you then cower away from the main thing that Joe holds over Carl in legacy?

Ridiculous. I also said he wouldn't rematch Ward and that is now becoming v apparent. I know full well that he wants no part of Cleverly.

Froch doesn't want to do it at LHW ok. Cleverly's offering not only a catchweight but to come to SMW, so lets see if Froch will do that.

He's talking fighting other domestic champions like Groves and DeGale, well Cleverly is holding a strap right now. You could probably do Millenium Stadium for a British showdown like that.

There's 2 fights I said I'm certain Froch won't take and that's Hopkins and Ward.

Looks like I'm being proved right. One fight I'm very doubtful he'll take is Cleverly but Ill wait and see what Froch says about Cleverly offering to come to SMW.

Froch said he'd do it if Cleverly came to SMW, so there are no excuses left.

He most certainly can't use the 'Cleverly isn't exciting enough' anyway.
