  • If I watched the fight again, I'm pretty sure it would put me to sleep everytime. The fight ******, plain and simple and Flaccid mayweather making as much as he does for the piece of sh it fights that he gives is a sucker punch to us all

    • Floyd clearly won. The fight wasn't close. Those of you who had it close need your eyes checked.

I dont see anyone here claiming that it was close. What people are saying is that most of the rounds were competitive rounds with Floyd edging them out by doing a bit more to Alvarez than Alvarez was able to do to him. There werent any rounds were Floyd completely dominated Canelo. Canelo had some moments where he landed a good shot. Floyd had more and overall won most of the rounds.

The first 4-5 rounds were pretty even rounds that neither fighter dominated nor clearly won. There were about 3-4 rounds that Floyd CLEARLY won. He resorted to one and done punching and never completely overwhelmed, hurt, or had Alvarez in any type of trouble what so ever and vice versa. At the end of the day he was able to lay more leather than Alvarez was able to lay on him and that was the story of the fight although Alvarez was able to land some nice solid shots on Floyd here and there.
Can you imagine a strong not drained Canelo who is fighting at his best weight...Catchweight King Floyd would of lost. Catchweight King want none of that. Anyway who care, Canelo is still undefeated.

            • This wasn't a close fight to score, IMO. You can tell who dictated the pace of the fight. Floyd controlled it with his jab and everything came to him from there on out. Canelo looked two steps behind. He didn't get beat the way Gatti did but he also didn't put up a fight like Cotto. He was outsmarted, outgunned and simply not intelligent enough to win. Looking back at it I saw him winning two rounds. It would've been one had Floyd not been content with doing nothing but moving in the 12th

              • I've just come to the conclusion that most people here are idiots and have no idea how to score a fight.

                  • Average of all the press scores were 119-109... that's pretty much all you need to know.

                    • Floyd schooled the kid, Canelo maybe won 3-4 rounds max and that's if you give him every close round.
