You can't be taken serious saying he looked bad against Cotto and Ortiz

He made the Cotto fight a lot harder than it should have been. Cotto fought better than expected, but Floyd had no reason to fought on the ropes when he could have easily pivoted out and retrieved control in the middle of the ring.

Or Cotto used his high boxing IQ to trap him in the corners and on the the ropes. That's what happened. But he didn't look bad in that fight.

I think Floyd thought he could beat Cotto up and make him quit; Miguel came to fight and showed why he is a HOF'er. Floyd threw alot more punches which in turn he got hit a more. Cotto landed 105 total punches which is less than 10 per rd which alot is made up of huge 8th rd

The only way Canelo will win is by knockout. For some reason I see this happening...

And imagine if it does happen? The Twitter world will go crazy

This is from another thread about whether Floyd would be able to hurt Canelo:

Didn't Cotto's lightweight brother almost stop Canelo in the first round?

Honestly, I don't really like how Canelo reacts to punches. I remember he got caught on the ropes and was stunned for a second or two against Josesito in the second round.

As of yet, Canelo has never faced a real puncher and he won't be facing one against Mayweather, but I think Floyd will probably get his attention with the counter right. I believe it's only a matter of time until he gets brutally stopped.

Well by that logic since cottos lightweight brother hurt him guys like trout and Mosley should have taken him out then right? I don't recall him being hurt in the Lopez fight. He's really improved defensively so it's hard to imagine him getting brutally stopped on accumulation of punches. I just don't see mayweather hurting him even thoug I think he's got enough power where canelo won't just walk through the right hand.

I'm no Canelo fan, but I don't see Floyd committing enough to his punches and especially at 154, to hurt him.
