WTF......152? What a joke. The belt shouldn't be on the line, it should be at 154 for the 154 pound title. It's better than Alexander I guess but a catchweight is a catchweight.

Floyd's a Coward!!! 154 was fine for Oscar and Cotto.
So what you're telling me is Cotto is a real Middle Weight

Leonard Ellerbe on Cotto vs Pacquiao:

"He was a dead man walking when he went into the ring," Ellerbe said. "The casual fan doesn't know what difference one or two pounds can make when a fighter is already down to weight. Fighters know."

Fans are too fickle. I love boxing but we have the worst, most spiteful, whiny and biased fans of any sport. All we do is complain instead of appreciate these guys putting it on the line for our entertainment. Its a shame. We gotifans making monkey comments, slurring Floyd. Just be glad we're getting the fight.

            catchweight?

Of course Mayweather want's Alvarez, now that Trout showed him all of his weaknesses and that Alvarez is clearly having problems making 154. I don't think he'll make 152. A better move for Canelo would be to move to middle and fight Martinez. Mayweather needs that career defining win against a great prime fighter, Pryor had his in Arguello, Whitaker in Chavez & Nelson, Chavez with Taylor, Mosley with De La Hoya, Mayweather's was supposed to be Pacquaio. He won't get it with a win against Canelo.

Official weigh-in: Alvarez 153 lbs, Trout 153 lbs

Pre-Fight Weights: Alvarez 172 lbs, Trout 171 lbs

Never been a fan of the catch-weights but lets be real here, 1lbs difference isn't going to affect a 22year old Alvarez. Especially after a 153lb weigh-in.

Alvarez carries a lot of water weight around in his midsection. He will be fine once he rehydrates most likely. But Floyd looks like a hypocrite and probably owes Pacquiao an apology after all that talk about catchweights.

I'm just happy this fight is happening. The rest of you can whine about the catchweight, I'll just be excited to see the fight. Even though I think Canelo lost to Trout he fought a really good fight and showed me he's much better than I gave him credit for. I think he has a chance in this fight just because of his size, power, and underrated defense and counter punching ability.

Floyd is my guy but he deserves heat for the catch weight. It is obvious he has an issue with the weight class. Win or lose I believe this will be his last fight north of 147.

But the fight was made and many thought it wouldn't be. We all benefit here
