This is perfect. Everybody shut up about the catch weight and admit you'd pick Floyd at152 or 154 lol. Lets analyze the bout not the weight. Any unbiased observer will pick Floyd.

Here's another point...Let Floyd call out a 140 and he would get killed.170 lb Canelo calls out Floyd, and I hear crickets. That in itself is hypocrisy
    Great point

leonard ellerbe already reported that there is no rehydration clause in the contract. So cool out, and even if there is, Canelo signed the contract so take it up with him.

No Skip Bayless reported that, as Skip Bayless does not understand the sport at all.

much respect to floyd money mayweather, for signing on to fight one of the young guns...even if canelo gets taken to school, he won't get ko'd, and it should be a good learning experience for him...may the best fighter win...

I hope Canelo blows off the CW, pays whatever it costs, and trains for the fight just like he would any other 154 fight. If he is already dehydrating to make 154, losing that extra two pounds is hard. Where is it going to come from? Boxers are already at minimum body fat. Anybody saying otherwise hasn't done it themselves or seen a gym mate do it. Your body hates you for it.

I wonder how much 2 pounds would cost him?
Here's a novel idea: maybe more fighters should do what Floyd does (fight at or near their natural weight). The only reason guys like Canelo put their bodies through hell is to fight in weight classes where they can come in bigger than their opponents, believing it gives them a significant advantage.

If Canelo is walking around at 170 pounds plus and he's already in good physical shape at that weight, as you seem to be suggesting, why doesn't he fight at middleweight or super middleweight? Even if you think Canelo is a good fighter (as I do), I think most people know the answer to that.

Good fight, shame about the catchweight. It won't effect the result so I don't see the point. Should be a great fight nevertheless......
