Hell, people still say it now despite his loss's.
That's true. When having a discussion with Tyson fans about Lewis dispatching of Ruddock quicker than Tyson did, they said "Tyson softened him up for Lewis". I've also heard people say he lost to Holyfield because he was "made a zombie" by anti-depression medication.

Tyson did soften him up, pretty much ruined Ruddock but the funny thing is even though Tyson won the war in those 2 fights, I think he lost the war. Those 2 beat each other into oblivion.

In that era no doubt. He's toughest fight would be against Holyfield, but with his superior speed, power, skill, movement and defense in his prime, he would have outboxed Holyfield and stopped him late.

Lewis he would have caught sooner or later.

Bowe would have been a good fight, but Tyson would bring him down eventually with his frightening power.

He was only 24 so it would be a modern rocky marciano debate

Don't forget the steroids, oh and the incriminating pictures he had of the ref. I can't believe he was allowed to headbutt so much, if he wants to fight dirty than fair enough, the ref should have let that ear bite go and let them fight to the death.

Tyson in that Lewis fight was a joke, see the interviews of him in camp leading up to the fight? It was like he was doing nothing but ****ing b1tches all day long. It's kind of scary to know it took Lewis so long to finally KO him. Just shows how much Lewis had slipped as well. He looked 10x more sloppy a year later against Vitali and still managed to stop him. Haaaa the heavyweight division is a joke!

I think he would be rated very high. Most experts and fans would probably rated him somewhere in the top 3 or 4 heavyweights of all time. Many would rate him #1 or #2.

Tyson in his prime was the greatest heavyweight of all time. Tyson not in his prime doesn't make the top 30. He had an unusually short prime.

                    Prime?

'85-87' Iron Mike was the scariest thing in boxing. Unbeatable. He could have retired 37-0 and be considered top 3 all-time IMO, hell i think the only person to challenge him in this form is a young George Foreman and that's just power for power. I don't think Bowe or Holyfield would have have protested that prior to that Buster Douglas incident.

Valero is kind of like Tony Ayala.....but Ayala would not have beaten Duran, Mike McCallum, and Leonard even if Ayala hadn't self terminated.
