Some are called "Warriors" because they don't know any other way to fight or block punches lol.

The term should be used for fighters who fight through injuries and overcome obstacles, not just eat shots all day

It has been as of late, maybe due to fighters no longer being made like they used to? And maybe all the hate/criticism they get nowadays

Some people think warriors are only the Brandon Rios, Margarito, Mattysse, Pacquiao types. Aggressive, come forward, willing to take punishments. I disagree. Why shouldn't a defensive and tactical fighters be considered warriors? Even the Spartans relied heavily on their shields. Block counter with the spear. It resembles Floyd's shoulder roll and counter with the straight.

Yes when we look at the broad scale, anyone that steps into the ring should be considered warriors. But if we reduce the scale to strictly boxers who steps into the ring as a living, there's going to be that fine line. For example, a lot of people would consider Zab Judah a warrior based on his last fight. I wouldn't consider him a warrior. It was one fight. Same way I wouldn't consider Donaire done after the Rigo fight. Zab's past defeats overshadows his last performance. I mean, I was surprised with his heart. But like I said...I was surprised. If he was a warrior, I shouldn't be.

And I also do believe that there are dumbasses and there are warriors. Margarito and Brandon Rios; people consider them warriors. I consider them dumbasses that bring in a lot of excitement.
