Was the fight on tv? When you bumped this thread, I thought something bad happened. Glad to see he got the W.

Spence is a very good prospect, very poised, he looks like a complete fighter in the ring, i hope he gets put on the right track in his career. I also like Amir Imam.

He's definitely one of the best American prospects. I don't know if the the best prospect in the world though.

I don't know if Spence has star power but he does everything well, he's patient and doesn't waste any shots...idk if he has any "star" power to build a fanbase but we'll see...
In America maybe. Alfonso Blanco was a good 154 prospect that was way more accomplished in the amateurs but has been inactive. He used to train with Robert Garcia don't know if he still does.

                  And another one last night.

Spence is a funny character because he talks and looks like the nicest guy you'd ever meet, but he's blatantly disrespectful to guys with his fists, and subtle with his disrespect verbally.

"I saw at the weigh in he was soft around the middle. Real flabby so I thought i'd test it out and go to the body" - his post fight interview lol.

What I like about Spence is his demeanor. I remember awhile back Luis Yanez used to clown him cause he was this skinny kid in the neighbouring city. Desoto and Duncanville have a history of sports rivalries so it was all in fun(I think) but Luis would always try to detour him from boxing or making it big

I'm glad to see him come this far while Yanez's career is just about done

What I like about Spence is the fact that he is a body puncher. Many fighters neglect this aspect of boxing but it is a very important one.
