i think danny is somewhat like bradley, a blue-collar type of fighter that doesnt have any shining attributes but has enough of everything else along with some intangibles that opponents sleep on. honestly, i respect danny but not really a fan... matthysse is your typical brawler with underrated technique, so i can see how danny can outbox lucas, but i want to see how danny reacts to a relentless firefight with a dude with a solid chin. right now BOTH fighters are getting crazy hype... so its hard not to get caught up. cant wait. IMO, garcia is the one that has something to prove... for lucas, garcia is the final hurdle to the inevitable.

Most of the people picking Garcia over Lucas are the same dudes who picked Lamont over Lucas. They're just embarrassed they had it so wrong.

I have Lucas beating Garcia, but I wouldn't be surprised if Garcia wins. Garcia has some very good skills.

It's all going to come down to who can take whose punch better. I am betting on Lucas just like I bet on him to beat Lamont.

Matthysse for some reason has a lot of haters. Maybe he should be ****y as hell, beat his wife, treat other people like crap, talk a lot of smack, and maybe people will start liking him. LOL.

if matthysse KOs garcia, that basically proves what a few people think... that garcia is NOT ready, and everyone was too quick to hype the kid up.

i mean, with the khan KO, garcia leapfrogged the whole division. people forgot about bradley, maidana, matthysse, peterson, etc.

im not a garcia hater, i think he got heart/talent, but i feel he hasnt "earned" it like the other guys. ESPECIALLY the likes of matthysse who has been putting great work in this WHOLE time.

if garcia can convincingly beat matthysse, then i will gladly eat my words. until then, matthysse is the king @ 140, IMO.

I was very impressed with Danny Garcia in the Judah fight. True Zab had a legitimate chance to win late in that fight, but you gotta understand that Zab Judah has had some weak performances, but when he comes to fight watch out. Danny tired late but I think that was him gaining experience not neccesarily a pattern or flaw. Garcia can box. I hadn't see as much of the other guy. I did watch the Peterson fight but couldn't really learn anything about him from that. (Besides his obvious power). You see what a fighter has when he is tested. Garcia has been tested recently. I like him to outlast this dude.

Garcia is good but a little bit too soft for Lucas -- who's a punching beast who moves extremely smart into the ring. Not to mention his strong chin...
I somehow doubt that Danny will sign for this fight...
