He also has the option of trying get some of the big names at 160 to move up. There's plenty out there for him if he's willing to step out of his comfort zone.

I cant see a Froch fight in the UK, Ward barely leaves The Bay Area (and im a fan!)
Stieglitz who!? Nobody cares about that one, he isn't on Andre's level. Can even see George Groves or someone beating him.

Dirrell, is he even a fighter anymore? Guy just vanished and their proposed match fell through already. No chance that happens.

Hopkins vs Ward is as boring a fight as u could make and im not so sure Nard would take it anyway.

Dawson at LHW doesn't really appeal as the win was so clear.

Pascal vs Bute winner is an option.

Chavez moving up would be a money fight but a joke match.

GGG could step up and id be happy but cant see it as Golovkin has no real names on his record a division south yet.

Martinez is too small and old.

    Ward don't have many options

yes, despite calzaghe's recent comments that he'd have beaten ward, andre looks ridiculous by responding like this.

        Couple of points though-

1- Anyone who really thought Hopkins won the fight with Calzaghe needs an emergency appointment at Specsavers. Apart from dropping Joe in the first, what did he do the entire fight except cover up and complain to the referee? Ok a lot of Joe's punches were ineffective but he was the only one that seemed to be there to fight.

2- Isn't prince saying 'we'll come to the UK for a Froch rematch if we can fight Calzaghe next'? Because I'd translate that as 'there's no way we're coming to the UK to fight Froch'
you need an emergency appointment with reality. calzaghe wasn't landing and was being countered. a perceptive boxing fan can see this. calzaghe "seemed" to be there to fight, but in reality it was hopkins landing all the clean punches and making calzaghe miss all his aka boxing. "being there to fight" means nothing when it comes to scoring a boxing match. they were both "there" it was hopkins who was "there" landing punches and it was calzaghe who was "there" missing.

It's hillarious... I remember fairly recently Ward saying something about you just don't call out people away from your weight class. Apparently you do call out 41 year olds who have been retired for 5 years.

I can't take anything that comes out of that camp seriously, I've seen several quotes from him about having loads of fans in the UK...Where are these people? I live in the UK and I've never met one.

The really funny thing is, even Calzaghe NOW would push Ward pretty close.

But let's be real, Joe isn't coming back to be spoonfed to anybody.

My thoughts exactly. Ward has been jealous that even though he did win the super 6 very few people care about him, and is begging for a payday. He's called Chavez Jr out, people forget he was once scheduled to fight Pavlik, he tries to demean his only big paycheck in Froch and now his team is calling out Calzaghe?
                Simply pathetic.

                    Yes!!!

What the hell is the pound for pound number 2 doing calling out someone who is retired.

                    How about Martinez for Ward?

It's sad to see Andre Ward, a future #1 p4p fighter resort to having to call out retired guys just to get a money fight.

I said this two years ago and I'll say it again. Ward should not have re-signed with Dan Goosen. He should have signed with Golden Boy or Top Rank. Had he done so he'd be more recognized, have bigger paydays, and the fighters would come to him. Same would have happened with Sergio Martinez who re-signed with Dibella.
For all his comparisons to Mayweather, he sure isn't as business savvy as Mayweather is.
