He also has the option of trying get some of the big names at 160 to move up. There's plenty out there for him if he's willing to step out of his comfort zone.
GGG would be a super match.

Stieglitz is not a big fight. Dirrell and Hopkins will not fight him. Hopkins has admitted as much and Dirrell has indirectly said it.

No one really wants to see the Dawson rematch because the first fight was so decisive (much more decisive than Ward-Froch 1).

Bute was a huge fight about a year ago but Ward didn't take the fight and Froch killed Bute. Pascal...meh.

None of these fights stack up to a Froch rematch.

Hang on, wasn't this the storyline for the last rocky film?

          Couple of points though-

1- Anyone who really thought Hopkins won the fight with Calzaghe needs an emergency appointment at Specsavers. Apart from dropping Joe in the first, what did he do the entire fight except cover up and complain to the referee? Ok a lot of Joe's punches were ineffective but he was the only one that seemed to be there to fight.

2- Isn't prince saying 'we'll come to the UK for a Froch rematch if we can fight Calzaghe next'? Because I'd translate that as 'there's no way we're coming to the UK to fight Froch'

I while back Floyd was slated for making the claim that Ward was mismanaged, although he threw in some unnecessary statements (''Melt his medal into a medallion''). He's not exactly incorrect. If you're to look at Froch and Ward's career after the super 6 tournament, it feels as though Froch was the winner with regards to the exposure he has received.

After winning the tournament Ward's number one priority should have been securing a fight Bute. Then he could have whipped on few more Super Middleweights before the year, before trying to secure fights with GGG or Martinez, or moving up to the Light Heavyweight division to fight Dawson, Pascal, Hopkins etc.

Instead he is stuck in no man's land, which to an extent reminds of Bradley's year after beating Pacquiao.

lol @calling out a 40+ retired for years fat man.

Maybe Deontay Wilder will call out Lennox Lewis soon. Make it two awesome UK vs US battles. Maybe on the same card?..

              Uh.. shivers.

Pointless. It would prove nothing. Also pretty classless from team Ward.

BUT.......Given that its Calzaghe and throw in the fact he is still always piping up to claim how he was better than all these guys (who I doubt he would have even fought let alone beat!) and im more than up for watching him take a beating! It would also spoil that pretty little "0" of his he worked so hard to protect!

Seriously though Fight wont happen and neither it should, Joe has been out like 5 years now. I think more than anything it shows a lack of meaningful fights/options for Andre Ward today.

If there isn't any worthy opponents available why dont Ward just move up and rematch Dawson at 175 after he fights Stevenson.

Prince - "If they can arrange that commitment, with Froch first in the UK, with the understanding that after we destroy him - that the UK can convince Calzaghe to come out of retirement to defend the UK - then they got a deal."
From that ultimatum by Prince, it sounds like they'll only agree to fight Froch in the UK if Calzaghe agrees to come out of retirement first and face the winner? Sounds as if they don't want the Froch fight in the UK after all. But one thing to remember is that Calzaghe said he'd only come out of retirement for 10 million pounds.
