He would knock neither of them out, but obviously decision them both.

I doubt Froch uses the same tactics against Ward. However, its no surprise Ward - having being ringside - is making noise for a rematch on that display.

This fight isn't gonna happen. And I for one, couldn't care less. They both need to go after some fresh meet. For Ward, its gonna be tough to get an opponent that people will get excited about. If Stevenson beats Dawson, he'll have that as an option. If not, he may have to dip into the ever deepening middleweight pool for an opponent that fans can halfway get excited about. As for Froch, he'll always have a third fight with Kessler to run to if he doesn't have a fight. But I'd like to see him make the jump to light heavy. You've got the Dawson-Stevenson winner that will be there holding the universally recognized title. You've got old man Hopkins with a belt who's expressed interest in fighting Froch. You've got a Cleverly who wants a piece of Froch, in a fight that would be huge in the UK. Froch seems to really care about the legacy he leaves to the sport. A good way to enhance his legacy is to win titles in multiple divisions. Man up Carl. You have the frame that can handle the light heavyweight division.

The video below (which was posted, of course, by a Froch's fan) might remind many people what was the Dirrell fight about...

Anyhow I half agree with Hunter in that I believe Ward would win again. Froch has plenty of options, he should look elsewhere for opponents.
Run is the code word for Boxing someone, Dirrell beat him won more rounds and out landed froch. So if you get your nose bloodied you LOSE? Wow I guess Floyd lost to cotto cause his nose got bloodied.

Froch is a terrific fighter but he needs to stay the hell away from Ward and Dirrell. They have too much hand speed and movement for him. He needs to fight Groves, Stevenson, Cleverly, Hopkins - guys like that then call it a day.

Won't use same tactics?! Lmao. He's too slow!! And too open to hit. It's not about tactics. It's about genetics. He can't beat Ward. Never will. Move on. Take comfort in fact that no one will beat Ward.

You're right about Carl caring about his legacy. Lets be honest, he had a big chip on his shoulder regarding Calzaghe degrading him (wrongly imo) and has always wanted the same recognition to be seen on the same level.

To do that he has to become no:1 in at least one division. With Calzaghe being no:1 in two divisions holding the Ring belts in both, then Froch for his legacy has to beat Ward.

He doesn't have to, it's his choice and there are other fights out there, but none other than B-Hop (a legend) or Ward no:1 and pound 4 pound no:2 will give him the legacy he craves.

I rate Cleverly but most don't seem to, not yet anyway and he is just an alphabet champ at the moment. Froch probably see's him as high risk low reward from a legacy standpoint atm. If Carl beats him now it won't do much for his legacy, until Cleverly's got a name people will give him credit for. It'll be written of as just an alphabet champ never at that standard.

Does Froch want to try and go for no:1 Ward or a legend Hopkins to give his legacy a serious boost? If he fails at least he went for it and can retire with no ifs or buts.

The alternative to not fighting them is a legacy that he won't be happy with if he only take fights that he is happy to face stylistically now.

If he doesn't face Ward or Hopkins and Kessler retires, I don't see a huge amount out for him, certainly nothing that enhance his legacy.

You can rule out anyone at LHW as he said he can't do that. You're left with Bute (pointless from Carl's perspective) and then Stegliez (alphabet champ) will he come out of Germany and unproven guys like - Groves, DeGale that if he beats now people will say 'they weren't at that level' etc.

I really can't see a fight other than B-Hop or Ward for him to take that does anything for his legacy, Froch fans don't seem to want him to face either as they don't think he can win (at least being honest) and I don't think he wants to or thinks he can either. Its a quandary as to what he does next?

He won a TD over Kessler despite tagging him at will and busting both eyes open with headbutts, and then he dominated the first 7 rounds against Froch and in my opinion lost every round after but now Hunter's claiming he can beat both guys at the same time and knock both of them out? lol you had ur chance twice and couldn't knock either guy out so why talk **** and make urself look ******? Froch looked terrible in that fight but I actually had the fight scored 115-113 cuz Ward faded and Froch came on late
