  • Comments Thread For: Hearn on Froch's Options: Kessler III, Hopkins, Ward

Promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom says IBF/WBA super middleweight champion Carl Froch (31-2, 22KOs) is booming with options for the future.

One of the big options is a trilogy fight with Danish star Mikkel Kessler. The two boxers have now split fights, with Kessler winning a decision in 2010 and Froch getting revenge on Saturday night with his own decision win.

Another possible fight is IBF light heavyweight champion Bernard Hopkins, who wants to face Froch before the end of the year. Hopkins defends his title against mandatory challenger Karo Murat on July 13th. [Click Here To Read More]

    $$$ - Pascal, Bute, Kessler $$$$

Ward or Hopkins high risk low reward.

I think its starting to dawn on Hearn and Froch that their only viable options are Hopkins Ward and they don't want that.

Kessler I think put up a v good performance last nt, but I really think at top top level he gave everything he had left. Everyone was commenting prior to the fight that he's on the way down and his foot work although he moved well is very flat now and his reactions have slowed quite a bit.

Stamina wise he can't keep up with Froch now and in 3rd fight unless, he's able to stop Froch first, then he gets stopped himself and I wouldn't want to see that from such a commendable warrior, he deserves more than that.

The only cash-secured venue for Froch-Kessler II would be the Sauerland's Germany...
Hearn could also antagonize B-Hop and Ward (in order to drag the purses down)...
But what about "the big star" Adonis? Adonis Stevenson...

Isn't he about to take an L against Dawson? he relinquished his mandatory position.

Kessler probably won't fight Froch again and Ward won't travel. Fight Hopkins in London at catchweight of 170.
