At any point in Froch's career does the prime Kessler that fought Joe C beat Froch and how bad? I know in the overall scheme of things it's irrelevant, but just wanting to know folks opinions.

I think they have a style that matchs up well in which if they fight 10 times they will have 10 competitive fights.

I think Froch tonight is the best version of Froch and I'd pick that version of Froch over the best version of Kessler. Hard to really gague what that is IMO.

That Kessler bought out the best in Joe, so maybe he would fare much better against Froch...

Joe had to adjust to pull out that win

Good assessment. I can agree with that..May have been the best Froch, but i am quite sure that wasn't the best Kessler. I admit i am more of a Kessler fan, so i may be biased, but he just doesn't seem like he can pull the trigger anymore like he used to. That's usually what happens when a fighter is detriorating or has already. Both are true warriors in every sense of the word though and make for a great eventful fight.

Kessler already beat Froch in their first encounter?

A worse version of Kessler already beat Froch. So yeah, a prime Kessler beats Froch too.
