Comments Thread For: Andre Ward: Froch Rematch Makes Sense, UK is Possible

Carl Froch immediately set his sights on avenging the other blot on his record after overcoming his first conqueror Mikkel Kessler in a scintillating super-middleweight unification fight. Froch's only career defeats have come at the hands of the Dane three years ago and the outstanding American Andre Ward 20 months later. Froch, the defending IBF champion, atoned for his defeat at the hands of Kessler, earning a unanimous verdict in a brutal 12-round thriller at the 02 Arena, and is now targeting a fight with Ward on home soil.

    Easy money for Ward.

Froch is uncoordinated , slow, slow footed

    and has no fundamentals.

Being a tough guy won't get you past an elite fighter.

That's basically a no. Froch has improved since the first fight, higher workrate working his jab more, a rematch would be closer but i think Ward still takes it. I LOL'd when Ward said that Froch was hitting Kessler with dirty shots in the early rounds, he landed about 3 questionable ones which weren't really dirty more to do with Kessler turning his head. Ward probably lands more punches with his head than his hands.

A small ring with a spongy mat, tight ropes and a friendly ref could fix a lot of Carl's problems.

          Go Overseas Andre

It's a must Andre that you fight Froch in the biggest stadium in the UK. Great energy for that fight & destination

Bull****. Ward is elite, kessler is not. Did you see how Ward handles kessler. Man didnt win a second of that fight. Ward is on another level, its not even fair.

Won't matter. Ward doesn't need a big ring to run away.

He comes forward as a master of distance and spacing

and will best up, tie up and negate froch all

              over again.

              Too easy.

Last time was an embarrassment for Froch.

Kessler used the say the same garbage.

As Ward said, Carl Froch and Eddie Hearn say they want it, but they have never proven it by putting pen to paper and offering him the money required to make a far superior fighter travel to face an inferior opponent.

Sauerland and Kessler did the same thing. Talked a big game about how Ward can't get paid anywhere else like he could in Denmark, but when it was all said and done they never made a formal offer.
