      I agree.

"Oscar would have beat Floyd as well."

I've said this all along. Oscar was 34, stuck in mud, and too rich when he fought Floyd. After 8 rounds, he was ahead by a point on all three scorecards. He simply got old and couldn't sustain the pace he set early. A prime Oscar would have made the smaller Mayweather, look small. He was too fast, too smart, too big, and he moved to well with his legs and knew how to fight BIG. Floyd wouldn't beat a lot of fighters who came before him. He is over-rated in my eyes and doesn't like to challenge himself.

Does anyone here have the link for the original thread when Oscar vs Manny was first brought up?

A prime Oscar would have made it seem easy. Especially the one with Robert Alcazar.

That jab would have been too much for little Manny. Back in the day Oscar was a machine. Just ask Jesse James Leija. Plus don't act like manny would have been able to hurt ODL, he had one of the most underrated chins of his generation.

as long as Oscar had wind he would have caught a squared up manny on the ropes with a picture perfect left hook.

i'd pick oscar in a close fight, not because of size and power, but he'd be faster and will have more footwork than the old oscar and his jabs will win the fight. but pac would give him hell, he looks devastating and unbeatable 3yrs ago.

I think the fight would be much closer but I still think Pacquiao wins. He was razor sharp and lightning fast that night.I remember Oscar in his prime and he was very good but hardly unbeatable.

Pacquiao wins. De La Hoya was world class, but when he stepped up against elite fighters he usually lost.

Oh and Manny UD12 or TKO12 (a la Cotto fight)...
Prime Oscar would have better punch resistance and won't get retired, but he is not going to be faster than the Pac he fought at 147.
