He's lost to the best boxers he's faced.

Pac's combination of speed, power, agression and overall energy and balls/hardwork is what enabled him to beat these guys. He also wasnt tiny at the lower weights and had a pretty good chin.

De la Hoya in his prime might not have been AS fast but he wasnt going to be left behind...and Oscar was no only more skilled he had more power at 147 and a great chin in combination with size.

That fight would have NEVER happened. Pac would have stayed at 140 or lower.

Oscar beats even Floyd in his prime...almost did and this was while he was significantly past prime.

Id have liked to see Ike Quartey vs Pac...random fight but would have been an interesting matchup imo
I think you misread what I wrote, I meant Manny's equalizer/achilles heels is superior boxing skills and movement.

He never lost to anyone who was supposed to be bigger and more aggressive than he is, because that's what compliments his very offensive style.

And as for Floyd, a fighter who is the complete opposite of Pac style-wise, the concession is that constant pressure and aggression is what neutralizes his style (again, it needs to be seen, only rumored because of JLC 1).

Pac was freak but he also benefitted from the guys he fought at 140+

Those guys were either small or past it, but his acheivements shouldnt be overlooked and you cant compare Floyd **** with that.

Floyd would have to go to 160-168 and ask for a catchweight against the top fighters to acheive the same.

Of course he wont do it.

If he fights red at 154 ill say im wrong but wont happen .

Oscar stops him at every weight but 130, he was very green there. Manny could win there I feel. Imagine Delahoya fighting Diaz, Hatton, etc? He'd kill them. Diaz would last 2 rounds

At 154 probably, at 160 hardly... Can't see DLH sustaining those body shots.

Manny would be too little; As a Matter of fact, Oscar beats any fighter at 147 and 154 today. He would even beat GGG at 160 as well. For those young fans who think he's so great. The Oscar that fought Vargas at 154 and was trained by Floyd Sr. beats GGG.
I think we need to steady on a little, he beats any of the current welters and manny from that night too but I dont see him beating a Golovkin at all not unles you are talking about draining GGG down

WOW! lmao people so fickle. of course people gonna say De La Hoya after seeing Pacquiao just getting layed the f out by Marquez recently. People only remember you for what you did last, and now thinking Manny is not that good of a boxer and would get destroyed now by De La Hoya if both were in prime

Prime 147 Oscar would've beaten that Manny.

THey are equally good fighters but ODL is a beast a 140-147, Pac is prime at 126-130.

ODL is just the bigger guy. p4p Pac is better.

                      Drained?

Nope. WHY would he have to be drained? Oscar has enough size and power to get GGG's respect and he's smarter, and has more experience at the highest level. He could win that fight. You are under-estimating Oscar and over-rating GGG who isn't proven.
