I would normally call it an excuse too but looking back at the fight, where was Donaire's right hand lead? That was the key for him to beat Rigondeaux and he only threw it a couple times. Sometimes the guy is really injured and the excuse is valid.

That's pretty much what I'm saying, never said Donaire would win a rematch but it would be more competitive.

He stopped Nishioka with a right hand bro... Or put him down at least. And he said its been injured for a while.

Listen, its been shown that if you take Donaire's left hook or take it away he looks pretty ordinary.

What was donaire suppose to say? I think he's faster and better than me but I'm just fighting him cause the fans wants it? He said rigo has decent speed, other guys would have downplay rigo completely and say he's not fast.

Well injuries do get worse over time. He might be lying but I don't get why he didn't throw the right hand more often if his shoulder was 100%.

Exactly and that's why he needed to step in with the right hand to set up his left hook, that's how Marroquin caught Rigondeaux.

I love how basically Donaire is chalking up the loss to Rigondeaux as he was "injured", "not focused", "over confident", and everything. It's basically like after the fight when he said "I don't want to discredit Rigondeaux.....BUT, yada yada yada".

You were beaten by the better fighter H2H Donaire. It's over. But what sucks is Donaire doesn't really have any great fights for him at 126. He won't be fighting Mares or Mikey, and once Russell steps up and shows what he's made of, he won't be fighting him either.

So I mean he's going to be fighting guys like Lopez, Salido, etc.

How about he says "Rigo is a strong and quick fighter and we will be ready for him"? He's been discrediting Rigo since the day the potential match up came up. But guess what? It only made him look worse in the end. He got beaten by an amateur with only 12 fights who had decent speed.

It sounds to me like you're fully convinced the loss was a result of an injury. Its easy to see that Donaire didn't know WTF to do in there. He wasnt gunshy cause of an injury. He was plain CONFUSED (not gunshy) cause he was in there with an ELITE boxer not Arce or some Vazquez Jr. He was in there with a guy who hit as hard as him if not harder and had the quick hand and foot speed.

You sound like the Rios fan who claim he lost to Abril cause of the weight.

The problem with shelving an immediate rematch is that Donaire is outgrowing the division while Rigo is pretty much set, size-wise...
If Donaire gets schooled again, then he just move up and make peace with Rigo being his daddy.
