Something to think about Floyd Fighting Canelo now or later...

Fighting Canelo later can be a double edge sword for Mayweather.
    Why? Think about this:
The more Canelo fights he gets more seasoned and we have seen it.
When Canelo fought Trout he learned alot and gained confidence.
Lets say Floyd Waits, and Canelo fights Cotto.

Im pretty sure Canelo beats Cotto based on his power but I am also sure he will learn alot and gain more confidence.

So is it better to fight Canelo now when he is limited or wait (but he can become a better fighter).

Or not fight him and continue with the tag that he never fights the better opposition.

As long as Floyd shows no signs of slipping to the point that you can see, Canelo can't beat him.

Floyd wont ever fight canelo mark my words. Especially after canelo obliterates cotto later this year. They have thrown their 1st road block by asking canelo to drop to 147 which we know is not possible. Let's be real do you really think mayweather is going to concede on his demands? He didn't with pac which is/was a much bigger star than canelo. So unless canelo cuts one of his arms to make 147 the fight aint happening.

And why should he. He already has the fantasy victory over him, Trout, Sergio, Manny, Lucas, Margarito, Williams, Lara, and Bradly. Why waste his time actually proving it in the ring.

I say its smarter to fight him now, then go after the winner of Lucas and Garcia then Marquez and Pacquiao winner when the fight for the 5th fight then Martinez (he would be older) and finish with Pacquiao again lol

those 6 fights given the time are very very winnable fights and nobody can say anything of his legacy unless GGG becomes a monster at 154 but other than that they are easy fights for floyd winnable and good for legacy.

All you need to do is look at Floyds fight history and you will get your answer.

He is adverse to taking risks, he doesnt take any risks at all. He fought Hatton when he coiuld see Hatton didnt perform well at 147, nearly losing to Collazo. He bloats JMM, fights old man 5 loss SSM.

So hes hardly going to wait for Canelo to get better before fighting him. If he dont fight him next, he will make excuses and the fight will never happen. He'll fight khan and then dissapear in the moonlight or sunset.

It all depends on how "risky" of a fight they believe Canelo is at any given time.

Canelo stated himself, when he was relatively greener, "Floyd wanted to fight me 1-2 years ago"

Looking at Canelo's last fight, Canelo has shown he still needs some serious improvements in certain areas. So if we see that, I'm sure that Floyd and his team sees the same. Therefore the fight can still be made.

If Canelo doesn't fight Floyd next and turns in a few very impressive performances against high quality opponents then the likelihood of the fight happening will be a lot less. If it also shows that Canelo's present flaws are no longer apparent then, going by Floyd's record in respect to fight selection, there would be "NO CHANCE" in this fight ever happening.

How long can Canelo even make 154? he looked good at the weigh in last fight but there is no excuse to be like 5'7/5'8 and gaining that much back overnight.

If Floyd doesn't fight Canelo then his legacy will definitely be tarnished. That means he avoided Pac and Canelo. Both are the 2 biggest fights in boxing and the best two available opponents.
