I don't see it as a safe fight, I think it's a tear-up which is why I would like to see it.

Stieglitz would batter Groves imo, he rough-housed Abraham, Groves wouldn't be ready for that type of treatment and he'd have to take the fight in Germany so that's what would be coming.

Plus I don't see Steglitz coming out of Germany when he can have home defences against easier opponents for far easier money. And no way Froch travels to Germany for a hometown.

To face him instead Hopkins or Ward would be a massive let down for the fans wanting and exepecting Froch to be true to his mantra of facing the best.

For me its not the best facing the best, Froch is a different league to Stelitz and one win against AA where he has already lost to him and been TKO'd twice before against Andrade and the great 'Berrio' doesn't qualify him to be that, even though he may make for a good dust up.

What a load of crap, firstly I don't think anybody is considering Froch an all time great, I respect him a lot because of his willingness to make the biggest fights and take on the toughest opposition and that he isn't afraid to travel. He could easily have taken less challenging fights and padded an unbeaten record instead he's taken on all the top fighters in his division and only lost 2 close decisions.

Secondly how can stay-at-home Andre criticise anybody's willingness to travel, he's an extremely talented fighter but very carefully managed. Blurting out **** about Froch needs to get recognition by traveling is laughable, he fought Kessler in Denmark, Ward, Taylor and Johnson in the US, Abraham in Finland (and negotiated a home and away fight with Bute - which Bute didn't take up the home rematch). Ward looking at boxrec has left the US once, to fight a can in the Cayman Islands. Perhaps if Ward was brave enough to risk fighting world class opposition away from his home support he might have a couple of close losses on his record too.

There was a rather large thread on BS awhile back discussing Froch's ATG status, and the common argument was that he was obviously an ATG, but his resume needed two or three more key wins to solidify his status. The consensus was that he was definitely ATG material.

Then you have this thread which is basically saying it's laughable that Carl Froch is being considered HoF material, let alone ATG. Boxing fans are really fickle.

Not many fighters are all time greats. Froch is not but he has had an amazing career and will be remembered for his tough run of fights. British fighters always struggle technical gifted fighters and it showed against Ward....

Froch may not be an ATG but he is an HOF, a badass and has arguably the best resume in boxing right now. Andre sounds sour as **** and begging for a fight with the winner of this bout.

This is not true..I wanna see it,and if Froch can beat Kessler after beating Bute in such Brutal fashion..He deserves Ward..

I agree that if Froch beats Kessler he deserves another shot at Ward, but I think there's only one person in the world who believes that he can beat Andre Ward and that's Carl Froch. Everyone else knows that Carl will lose that fight, and I'm a massive Froch fan.

He should give up on Ward, fight Hopkins & attempt to become a 2 weight champion.

why does ward even care about froch? he has already beat him, he sounds a bit bitter to me because he isnt getting attention at the moment.
