Just a figure of speech not to be taken literally.

Fine him, ban him, punish him - Lol, come on. They're both cutting weight, both amped and tensions are high.

If he said ''I am literally going to kill Kessler on saturday'' then I'd understand but hes basically just saying nothing will stop him from avenging his loss, he will do whatever it takes.

I believe Tonyu is South African, they do not like British sportsmen or teams.

Most of the people criticising Froch here are doing so either because they are fans of Kessler (understandable), Calzaghe, Khan or simply do not like Britain in general.

      Opportunism.

Real boxing fans take it for what it is, Froch getting (over)-hyped in fight week.

I don't think it's the biggest fight of his career, more the biggest money fight. The Super 6 final was the biggest imo.

I'm sure Carl is under a lot of pressure or else he wouldn't have made these comments but from a fan perspective I hope he ignores any adverse publicity from them and focuses on what he has to do.

IBF champion Froch is still angry at losing his WBC crown to WBA holder Kessler when they met in Denmark in April 2010.

Froch, 35, won the title back after injured Kessler was forced to relinquish it but the Nottingham fighter is still seething at losing their first meeting on points.

Froch blew his top ahead of their latest meeting and said: “I will kill this f****r if I have to. It sounds brutal, it sounds horrible, but that’s what this fight means to me.

“When I am smashing his face in, I am going to go for the kill. I want to do him some damage. I want to put the record straight. [Click Here To Read More]
Froch is a wannabe and he is so jealous of Joe Calzaghe, every time he speaks he shows his little brain;his ambition is bigger than his talent...ridicolous!!!

Tyson is a story of his own, of course, and has nothing to do with this kind of statement made in 2013.

Froch needs to be punished for this, a hefty fine I should say. He's supposed to be a role model, he's a father himself. He lost his head and it's unbelievable some weaklings on here are defending him.

Hello The WeeblerII - I don't think we've ever personally met so please don't judge my character and speak for me as I would never do that to you - I left South Africa a very long time ago and I support all British teams and their are lot of Britsih sportsman which I admire and respect but Froch is not one o f them I'm afraid and yes I am one of those Calzaghe fans - but I do like you because at least you are honest and speak what you feel - but I thought I would correct you on that point.

It's not just some throwaway line he said by mistake, as some of you are claiming, “I will kill this f****r if I have to. It sounds brutal, it sounds horrible, but that’s what this fight means to me.

“When I am smashing his face in, I am going to go for the kill. I want to do him some damage."

He even admits he understands how horrible it sounds, but then goes on and confirms that is how he feels. So obviously he isn't sorry.

He's a classless thug, who embodies the hooligan culture of the UK. Just another stain on Britain. The few famous Brits that stay in the country are all terrible people like Froch.
