I kinda feel bad for Garcia because it's really the perfect storm for him.

1. Most people hate his father so bad that they want to see Garcia get beat so bad that his dad feels the pain and is humbled.

2. Matthysse has gone from cult hero to legitimate top fighter. Some of us Matthysse fans have been waiting for him to finally get the attention we feel he deserves. While he's finally starting to get it, we want him to be recognized at #1 at 140.

3. Styles make fights. Of course Matthysse can be beat, but nothing about Garcia makes me believe he can beat him. He's a flat footed counter puncher. Counter punching someone with Matthysse's power will always be dangerous, no matter who you are. Garcia continues to impress me, but he's been hit and eventually he will be by Matthysse. Improve Garcia's foot and hand speed and I'll sing a different tune, but for now my moneys on Matthysse. Not saying it'll be easy for Matthysse by any means, but I'm riding with him.

I'm still wondering what the big deal is about Garcia. the guy has beat no one who has been a legit contender. Old Morales, Judah and Kahn are his best wins. this is what his fans get excited about?

The black guy next to Garcia didn't know if he should laugh or keep a straight hard face lol, it was funny for Showtime to zoom in on Garcia and his brother when the KO happened, Hopefully GBP realise they have a gem on their hands, his countrymen might have other heroes but am sure casual and hardcore boxing fans can make Matthyse a household name in boxing.

I'm not a Garcia hater, I think he's a solid fighter. I just think it will be tough for him to avoid the big shots of Lucas in 12 rounds.

Garcia likes to stand in front of his opponent and trade at times. That won't be good for him, he will need to show us a different dimension to his game if he's going to beat Mathysse.
