Why? Matthysse fights like a damn bum. All he has is power. His skill set is very much below average. Danny is actually good enough technically to outbox Lucas, which he will. Lucas is gonna beat Danny because Danny is leaky enough defensively that Lucas is gonna touch, and hurt him. And because of Danny's mentality he's gonna be sucke into a brawl, which he can't win. But if I were confident that he could stay within the gameplan, I'd pick him to beat Lucas.

Personally, I don't understand the universal boner that has sprung up for Lucas. This guy is nothing but the new Maidana. And if he does beat Danny, which I think he will. The first time he's in the ring with a fighter with elite skills, he's gonna get embarrassed.

it wouldnt be one for the fan that likes the hit and not get hit type of fight because these 2 guys are fairly limited in terms of technical ability. it should be a good toe to toe battle and id stay up til 6 am to watch it.

Garcia's chin is Ok and he isn't very durable. The proof is there when Morales and Judah had him hurt in the late rounds. He also cuts up. He's getting stopped one way or another. There's just no way around it.

Many more people rocked Matthyse than a little bit.. In the Devon Alexander fight I seen Matthyse get rocked.. Garcia hit harder than him so he going to on Matthyse.

If Garcia shows a tough chin, Matthysse will be in a fight of his life. This fight will be no early ending fight. I can see it easily making it to the later rounds.

Matthysse is a big puncher, but Ajose and Soto handled his bombs pretty good. Soto was actually very game in their fight and had Matthysse wavering and backing up at times until he started to get worn out and tired. Then Matthysse put him away.

If you call getting knocked down multiple times handling his "bombs" pretty good, then hey, more power to you......

And beating guys like Matthysse will make him the face of boxing.

i give the edge to matthysse but i won't count out garcia. the kid is improving and he has that special ability to launch his counterpunches in full force after getting hit. that's how he knocked out morales and khan. even when he knocked down judah, he got hit first and you could see on judah's face how he was stunned that garcia was able to sneaked-in his counterpunch. a lot of fighters when they get hit hard they freeze a little bit or their first instinct is to retreat and cover up but not garcia. he's almost like battery operated...you touch him and his hands swing automatically and on target at that.

I'm not a fan of any of the fighters you mentioned. Garcia is more technically sound that Matthysse, IMO.

As for me being gone after Sept 8, whatever son. I been a hardcore fight fan for two decades, probably much longer than yourself. That's a large part of the reason why Mr Matthysse's limitations are so evident to me and I haven't gone stone crazy over a KO of a slightly above average fighter.

Its a matter of opinion. My eyes tell me Garcia is more skilled. Doesn't mean I think he's a better fighter. I'm picking Matthysse to stop him inside six. Both are less than impressive from a technical standpoint, IMO. Lucas just impresses me less.
