Yes, and Canelo was willing to fight Austin Trout. He did and beat him. His promoters begged him not to take that fight and he took it anyway. And YOU FORGOT that Canelo has been chasing Jr. since before they blew up and became the household names they are today, but more importantly when they were both in the same weight division - Jr. did his best Mayweather impression and ran faster than Usain Bolt.

Austin Trout is a big 154 and was suppose to be a much better boxer than Canelo. I am not 100% on this, but Trout had about 2 inches on Canelo and a 5 inch reach advantage. In case you don't know, Canelo still won the fight bud.

Floyd could still fight at 140, 147 is the max he should go.

That's the way you respond to these negotiations... If you fight at 154lbs YOU FIGHT at 154lbs... It's not like canelo has gone down to 147lbs before and win a belt at welterweight than come back up and not want to go back to 147 to fight floyd.... Floyd on the other hand, has done exactly that... and now that he actually has someone who is willing to challenge him, he doesn't want to do it... If Canelo is such a fraud, then what's the problem with floyd not wanting to fight him... he fought cotto at 154lbs... and he said "when i fight people, i want them to be comfortable at their weight level".. As you can see Floyd fans are upset about Canelo's statement. Canelo's popularity will continue to rise, with or without the floyd fight. I doubt Floyd fights him at 154. You keep mentioning TROUT and you're right people did think he would out box Canelo, why I don't know. I say that because Trout had just came off a win against Cotto and people hyped him up, but think about this is the same Cotto people said was old and washed up since Margarito. So how do we really know how good Trout really is when his biggest win is against a guy that's said to be washed up. So maybe we need to see him fight another proven fighter before we give him praise bcause I think we ALL can agree before TROUT he has fought nothing but bums.
