Hold on didnt a few weeks ago people said that lucas would be an easy cherry picked fight or floyd? Now all of a sudden he's the next man to beat him. Floyd haters are so desperate to see him lose. And how is he ducking him if a challenge to even fight mayweather hasnt even been made yet. If Floyd fights lucas and wins haters are just gonna say Floyd was picking on a smaller guy anyway.

Its pathetic and annoying. I don't even bother anymore, its like arguing with a five year old.

Personally I'd rather see FMJ fight Ginger McGee first.

Oh my goodness..... you guys really believe that Matthysse would KO Mayweather? Now I done heard it all. Floyd embarrasses this guy. Matthysse is a strong puncher but that ain't enough to beat Mayweather. He would be in over his head.

I'm not buying Mattysse, at least not yet. He's a B+ fighter at this point. Everyone is in awe of his power and KO %, but they overlook his lack of boxing ability and inability to cut off the ring. Yes he can box, buts he's only a B level boxer at best. If you don't agree, explain why he was out pointed by Judah and Alexander who are both only B+ fighters? Yes you can argue he was robbed in those fights and I agree. However, he knocked both Judah and Alexander down and yet they were able to outbox him to make the fights close.

Judah and Alexander both have good movement. Lucas sucks at cutting the ring off. He should have ended those fights but he struggles with fighters with movement. If you don't believe that, watch the first and a half rounds of the fight with Peterson. Lucas was punching wildly that he looked silly at times. He even fell down from overthrowing. A good boxer keeps balance when punching, proving he still needs some work with his boxing. And no, Lucas wasn't looking for the KO that early, as he went on record saying he expected at late KO.

Put him in the ring with anyone with good movement and good boxing skills, ie Mayweather, Bradley, Marquez (although JMMs chin is suspect IMO), and they put on a clinic against Lucas.

Lucas needs to improve his boxing to the A level and cut off the ring, otherwise his ends up as a better version of Maidana with better boxing ability.

How is Marquez's chin suspect when he has never been KO'd? Love to hear this one be explained.

Didn't Corrales, Ortiz, and Judah have one punch KO power. And to make it even funnier I'm pretty sure Matthysse would lose to these guys. Wait a minute he did lose to Judah. Floyd will dominate this guy and haters including yourself will say he was cherry picked. The same thing happened with Guerrero. Haters named Guerrero the guy to take Floyd's "O". He was your hero at the time. When he got whooped all of a sudden he was cherry picked. the same thing will happen for this fight if it were to happen.

Guerrero could be discredited in retrospect. You could point to unimpressive showing against Yordan and Salido. You could say Berto wasn't a great fighter. I felt he would beat Floyds body. He worked that body in the clinch and Floyd often let him and just took it. Floyd showed me he fixed the flaws from the Castillo fights. A fighter isn't going to beat him the way Castillo did in the first fight again. What gets lost is how Floyd neutralized a fighter who would be dangerous for any of the other top WWs. Robert was peaking mentally and physically. With Matthysse you are right people would still discredit it saying he fought a smaller guy or a guy with 2 "losses". Lucas is a JW though so it remains to be seen how his power would translate 7 pounds north. When you punch like he does, your still going to have pop but will it be as devastating? Lucas is not a big JW. Then again Floyd is really a small WW himself so maybe its the right move against the right opponent. Like Floyd moving up to 54 to take on Cotto who was a small JMW. Out of the makeable GBP fights, Canelo is the one Floyd has to make right now or he gets shat on. Down the line though if Lucas keeps winning, people are going to demand this fight.

Is this for real? Floyd would pick Lucas apart.... this site gets worse daily. A couple weeks ago it's a huge cherry pick, now it's a legit fight. Then he'll sign, it's a cherry pick. Lucas is flat-footed and doesn't come near to matching floyd in speed...let alone the physical advantage floyd has and the fact he knows how to use them. Take in that ring IQ, an unwavering stamina, and being able to counter almost at will with the kind of shots he throws. I'd love to see the fight, but those saying Floyd will duck or he's scared be real... Lucas really has a punchers chance and that quite frankly is it...name one thing he has over Floyd but power? Even then at 147 you don't even know what Lucas can do power wise.

On top of that. Mayweather is a naturally bigger guy than Matthysse. Floyd's been hit by middle weights. Floyd beats Matthysse up and drops his stock value drastically if the fight happens. Seems like posters on here (Mostly Pacquiao fans) just want to see Floyd lose. They don't even believe the guys would beat Mayweather. Classic example "Guerrerro". He was the flavor of the month until Floyd humiliated him bad. Lucas has a better chance beating Manny then he does Mayweather.
