Im saying it first. I see Matthysse as a back up plan for Floyd for September just in case the Canelo fight doesn't happen. We'll see.

Matthysse isn't well enough known by the casual fan to make that fight worthwhile to Showtime.

I think Floyd has to fight a name better known to the mainstream in September. Canelo is perfect, but if not him Garcia or a Cotto rematch probably makes more business-sense.

And now, he flip flops, getting on Matthyse's jock, **** outta here.

Khan needs to forget about the big fights, and just look to rebuild and work on that defense, work on it for a full year with Virgil, become a student of the game, study the greats of the past. He's only 26, he can still achieve a lot if
he puts his mind to it and remolds himself.
WTF do you expect he should do? Berate Matthysse because his prediction was wrong?

He just gave credit where credit was due. Something a lot of posters on here should learn by the way.

true....the shot on the head might've still had him scrambling....it was one of those delayed reactions as well...but I thought he was clear after the first KD and said **** it, get some respect....keep the bull off him because Lucas was charging and smoke was coming outta his nostrils

impressive win!!...no doubt....gotta give him his props but thats where it stops!!

Don't hold your breath it will never happen, Floyd's about money .. Lucas ain't bringing in that money period .. Floyd's fights Canelo in September or he gives Cotto a rematch mark my words .. Same with Canelo if he doesn't fight Floyd .. Cotto is plan b for both I guarantee it .. Cotto is still a cash cow in the game

Granted his stock is high but he well get figured out soon.

Pederson should have stuck to the gameplan and boxed from the outside like he did in winning the first round.

Let him have his glory but he not as devastating as people making out.
This sums up the situation perfectly good post

He seems anxious on the decision, he stands a chance against Devon Alexander but almost very little with either Danny Garcia or Lucas Matthysse.
he is where ever there is a feather fisted opponent it seems like

Hopkins basically says to run away from him "I don't want to say run but not be there, play the ghost game"....I've never seen Hopkins sound that impressed by another fighter before.
