Ummm, Hey Hop, Pete didn't have a choice. After the first knockdown, his legs were gone; he was hurt. How else is he going to get Lucas off him? He had to stand his ground and fight, which he did. He just happened to be on the wrong side of the exchange.

But it's not like Pete went in there with intentions on fighting fire with fire. He was boxing originally and got hurt and his legs went. From there, he had to do what he had to do.
