The De La Hoya fight I can understand because he was a ppv juggernaut regardless but you want to compare DLH's star power to that of Alexander,Khan, Thurman? Combined they don't have DLH's fanbase even today. That fight was piting one assured half of famer against another..you can say with assurance devon, amir, or keith can be considered the same caliber at any point of their careers to either man? Me..I pay for things of value where there is some suspense...some actual challenge. A ton of folks have come and gone at 147 who never got their shot and could beat each man you mentioned. Hell i'd rather watch him fight JMM again rather than any of those 3 you have in mind. We watched Tyson because of his brutality and to see an execution..because of his knack for knocking people out..when that dried up what was left? Not much.
Not really. I'm saying its about demand. If a fight can generate 800,000 to 1 million buys, it should be on PPV. Not that difficult of a concept to grasp.

Its a ******ed way to do business if its not on PPV. PPV isn't about competitive fights. Its about public demand. Mayweather is a celebrity with crossover appeal and all of his fights will be on PPV as a result.

Who do you want Floyd to fight then?

Canelo? Sure, but what if they can't make that fight for whatever reason? Then who?

If Devon is healed he has to be at the top of the list. Khan has Ramadan so he's out. Paulie-Broner winner is out because of timing. Maybe a rematch with Cotto?

There aren't a lot of options if the Canelo fight doesn't happen.

Devon, amir, keith are public demand for paperview? Really..Devon's whose fight with Bailey had one of the lowest audiences in premium cable history? Amir who lost to Prescott in one round and barely escaped his most recent fight..Keith Thurman a guy who got a shot at a title because he's another Haymon eased into a title shot fighter? Those are demand fighters? Why not just grab another 140 pounder pull em up to 147 and fight them..Amir lost to Garcia so shouldn't garcia be ahead of him? Thurman has fought a bunch of nobodies. Devon is flat out a premium cable fighter at best..a good undercard fighter on a ppv but in no way is anyone clamoring for him to get the fight. Floyd could make more interesting fights versus 140lb guys right now than he can against the people you just mentioned.

It'll be hilarious if Lolexander gets chosen by Floyd. They put his name out there a few months back to make Guerrero seem acceptable. Cant wait for the lols when floms try and defend this...you know its coming.

Hell there are a ton of guys at 140 who'd beat devon, amir, and thurman at 147 and actually are marketable. Oh and how long has bradley been ranked at the top of 147? Exactly..higher and longer than devon, amir, keith. Did I mention 154? Don't get your panties in a bunch...I know you guys refuse to let the man move up and fight an actual 154lb fighter so i'm not even touching that subject.

OK...so convince 800,000-1 million people not to buy it then if you don't want it on PPV.

Answer my question then. Who should Floyd fight if the Canelo fight doesn't happen?

Fools and money are easily parted...Anyone who spends $70 to watch a hyped #2 khan, a boring b- level fighter in devon, or a fought nobody thurman should just give up on the sport. Those are free stream or go to the bar to see fights. Want my $70 pick a fighter who stands an actual chance, even if slim..which none of those guys do. Bradley would be nice..or anyone whose been top 5 at 147 for the past 2 years. Hell i'd take the top 3 at 140lbs as well over those names. Garcia, Mathysse, or anyone else is more interesting than amir, devon, keith and both the guys I just mentioned plan on going to 147 anyway.

Those aren't names. You talk all big, but yet the only name you give is Bradley? Well we know that isn't happening because 1. he is fighting JMM next and 2. He is signed with Top Rank.

If you know all the answers and say Devon doesn't deserve a fight with Floyd then who does? Give me a name.

Remember Lucas and Garcia are being lined up for sep. 7, Paulie and Broner wouldn't have enough time after their fight, and Khan has Ramadan. So give me a name who should Floyd fight if a fight with Canelo isn't made.

I gave you names and those fights being lined up aren't signed yet..and they all have the same damned handlers. Kell Brook is higher rated than Devon if that gives you any indication of how much I think Devon deserves this fight. Bradley is signed to Cameron Dunkin and Dunkin has an agreement with Top Rank which is why they couldn't force bradley to fight Pacquaio instead of JMM...but he's been available to fight and has openly stated he'd like to fight Mayweather and we all know Bob Arum wouldn't have the same issues putting Bradley up against Mayweather that he did with Pacquaio. Trout is available, Canelo is available, Lara is available..and all would happily meet him at 150. So coming up or coming down in weight there are a ton of better options.
