But for real, he wasn't doing anything. He seemed content to take his shots and just tell Alexander that they didn't hurt him. No real trying to win and upping his output seemed in the cards. It was gonna go 12, 120-108 for Alexander across the board. Just got us to the main event quicker, which is what we all wanted
I found that a bit amusing, almost like a punching bag that gives you feedback.

What was also a bit humorous is that right before the corner pulled the plug, he was taunting and mouthing off to Alexander like was actually doing something.

For real, like he was a bad ass because he can get punched or something. And he didn't make weight and got fined. Just a bad weekend all around for Mr, Purdy.

If you're not going to punch, why the hell should your corner let you keep going? **** that, we had the main event still to come, no one wanted to watch you do nothing for 4 more rounds while Alexander grunts.

I'd have let him go on a bit longer. With Alexander unable to use his left hand there didn't seem to be much danger to Purdy.

There was nothing on his punches and was against superior opposition. Think he took the fight on 4 weeks notice or something, he struggled to make the weight and in fact didn't make weight, didn't have his trainer in his corner and is a british domestic level fighter.

U could see from the get go they were on different levels, Lee wasnt doing enough and just staying up and talking smack isnt good enough but personally if it was my fighter id have let him fight on a bit longer, especially given Devon's hand injury which they MUST have known about

The whole time I was thinking Purdy was going to use the "Homer Simpson" tactic. Let Devon get tired and then attack. His corner called it off too soon. Purdy was just getting started.

Devon being hurt was not obvious because he said he hurt it in the first round but he was still catching Lee with both hands.

It's obvious his strategy was to let Alexander get tired, but he didn't get the memo about Devon having great stamina.
