You previously said win by KO ..... After the first, that's the fight Peterson fought and lost!

Peterson should have stick to his game plan of boxing ..... he would at least have more of a chance (see round 1)

IDK why fans readily accepted that info instead of looking at LM's history. How does a guy who usually gains 10-13lbs, all of a sudden decides to rehydrate 25lbs?

Let's look back at Peterson's fights. He's a slow starter that's why everyone who was backing him said after 2-3 rounds Peterson is warmed up, unfortunately he never got there and we give Matthysse all the credit. Peterson was knocked down a few times by Ortiz, Bradley and Khan. He recovered to fight back. Matthysse knocked down Peterson no doubt and yes he won fair and square but let's not forget Peterson hurt Matthysse a few times himself and Matthysse had to hold.
Is Matthysse a good fighter?Yes but he is beatable and a good boxer will move and win like Alexander and Judah did. Peterson just got caught but most of you are acting like it's the second coming of Jesus.

Personally I'm not really sold by this guy, he still has to prove himself.
              You're an absolute turd.

Matthysse proved he is a vey good fighter, but he hasnt earned the credit people around here are giving him. As good as he is people still manage to overrate him tremendously.

TS makes a great point about when the stoppage occurred. Peterson indeed is vulnerable early, you have to give lucas credit but you also cant ignore that the fight might have been differerent had lamont made it out of the early rounds.

Matthysse had a slow starter in front of him and capitalized, deserves credit for the win but peterson never got into the fight. Also he had a good style for Matthysse to begin with which is exactly why i picked lucas by stoppage myself.

I knew peterson would get dragged into a fight, the truest test for Matthysse is a pure boxer who wont. Someone who can box and move all night, this was lucas' toughest test so far but there are tougher ones to come. Like mentioned even this one might end up differerent in a rematch.

Punchers always look dominant when they are winning which causes some fans to act as if they are invincible. That image can get shattered quickly when they cant find the target however. Until Matthysse fought an elusive target the jury is still out on just how good he is. He is good for sure, but these p4p discussions and whatnot are oit of hand atm.

Matthysse is a pressure fighter though, and his power makes him much more difficult to handle. I think to beat Matts convincingly, it won't be enough just to be a boxer with discipline. You have to earn his respect or he'll chase you down the entire night. Let's also remember that Matts used to be a slow starter himself, and now that he isn't giving rounds away, it'll be harder now to make it to round 12 with him.

Peterson hurt Matthysse? He traded his biggest punch with Matthysse and got KOd...

Listen..Peterson TRIED to box... And still took as many as he gave but harder. Then second round comes around and Peterson gets roughed up and still tries to box in between then he gets feinted into a left hook and goes down. Basically now he's being outboxed and has to try to earn Lucas' respect and is forced to fight and gets KOd.

He didnt fight a ****** fight, Paulie made a great comment and said that he got hurt trying to box and offered no resistance boxing. He basically had to try and hurt him inside because this way he'd have a better chance at hitting Matthysse back... Peterson was just overwhelmed.
