Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City - Lucas Matthysse (34-2, 32KOs) dropped Lamont Peterson (31-2-1, 16KOs) three times for a TKO victory in three. Peterson went down in the second from a winging shot. In the third, Matthysse dropped Peterson twice for a TKO win. Peterson got caught cold by hook on the chin in third, and then another left hook sent Peterson down for a third time and fight was waved off.
