Lamont doesn't know how to fight from a distance like Floyd can AND doesn't have the skills to avoid a punch like Floyd. I know you saw Guerrero-Floyd...

Floyd Sr. made sure he didn't stay in the trenches as much as he did against Cotto. He would not do that against Matthysse...

Obviously what was said went over your head. I'll just chalk that up to you having a sub 90 IQ. The point was that even though Peterson may have had the height and reach advantage, he wasn't skilled enough to use them properly last night. On the other hand Mayweather is a fighter that is skilled enough to use his height/reach advantage to his benefit, unlike Peterson. It's not that the poster said that Floyd automatically wins because of his height and reach, it's that Matthysse is automatially at a disadvantage. Don't ever question anyone else's intelligence. orthodox vs orthodox. Floyd would have an easier time mixing up the jab to the head and body and setting up the straight right hand upstairs better than he did against Guerrero. I think Floyd can get in trouble if he stays against the ropes, but i doubt we'll see him staying there long enough to get hit in spurts now that his father is back in his corner. Like every other boxers from 140-147 matching up against Floyd, Lucas has a puncher's chance.

I don't think Matthysse is active enough to make Floyd pay for laying on the ropes, he is good at picking his shots but getting Floyd clean with one off hard shots is hard as hell no matter where he is at in the ring.

Plus Matthysse is open when he throws so Floyd can likely get him first almost every time.


I could be an alright fight though because Matthysse is tough and this would be a huge opportunity for him so he likely would keep coming, but the question always remains forcing Floyd to fight is one thing but liking what you find is something totally different~

I know exactly what he meant. I still found it ******. Reach isn't what would win Mayweather this fight.
