I was wondering how long it would take some to start a thread like this. I would bet that it was up before the ref waved off the fight. By tommorrrow, the clowns on this site will be claiming that Floyd is ducking Matthysse.

Matthysse is good, but he is not in Floyd's league. In order for him to get a shot at Floyd, he would need to beat Garcia and then move up to 147 and avenge his loss to Alexander by knockout before Floyd would even consider him as an opponent. Right now, he is nothing but a wannabe seeking a place at the Mayweather table, just like everyone else between 140 and 154.

Mattysse doesn't have the speed or boxing ability to catch Mayweather. Mayweather is on another level compared to guys like Peterson, he'll see Mattysse's punches coming a mile away. He could land something and rock Mayweather but i think the chance of that is very small.

UH...lets focus on Matthysse vs Garcia or Broner, Impressive Win over Peterson but Mayweather is in a class by himself when it comes to pure skills, Power Alone don't beat Mayweather, in that ring your not going to catch Mayweather with nothing that will surprise him, he can pretty much deal with ANY STYLES and can adjust to any style

Pretty sure I read an article a few days ago where Matthysse says he's staying put at 140. His height, build and knock-out percentage reminds me of Kostya Tszyu who never moved north where he was likely vulnerable to bigger, stronger fighters. I see Matthysse as a career JWW. So many big money fights at his best weight why move north? I pick him over Garcia and Khan.

If they fight a catch weight at 144 or 143 mathysse is going to have a real big shot ,a real threat to mayweather to actually be a competitive fight since he hasnt had one since dela hoya and corley.
