I love Franks column - however it doesn't amount to much. Just his opinion on the boxing world. Everyone leaves him in the end because they make more money with other promoters. Did Calzaghe get paid for the Hopkins fight?

What a load of hypocritical shit.

Warren would've seen a lot more success and loyalty had he been as aggressive as Hearn is with his fighters. I'm adamant most fighters ask their promoters for title shots and those that aren't being lined up to be something special, would consider themselves very lucky to receive one.

Rees & Purdy cannot complain that their promoter isn't doing a good job when they've both fought for titles, albeit huge underdogs, but still a chance was given to them.

Warren is clearly being outdone by Hearn and it's not as if Matchroom are doing anything special, it's just Warren is that bad of a promoter. He's suffocating a helluva lotta talent over here and is still signing more whilst neglecting others.

I don't really have any time for Warren, he's a fossil in this game now and is ruining the progression of the sport over here. His stranglehold on the scene over here is diminishing but he still holds way too much power for how useless he is.

Didn't Frank send Murray to the USA to get battered by Rios after Mitchell beat him....

Yep, I thought so. Fish-eyed **** that he is

Home advantage isn't just about a vociferous crowd spurring on the local man and inadvertently swaying the judges' favour in rounds which are close.

During the build-up, it also shields the fighter from becoming travel weary, even jet lagged, and permits them to prepare in their own gymnasium. They get to sleep in their own bed, surrounded by their loved ones, and feast on familiar cuisine. Press conferences and weigh-ins take place at familiar locations where they are surrounded by familiar faces.

I will give Frank Warren credit for one thing. He had enough sense not to put Ricky Hatton in the ring at 140 against Floyd Mayweather.

How could Lee Purdy turn down this oppurtunity? He's a British level fighter at best who's been given the chance of a lifetime.

Martin Murray did a great job Frank! As if Ricky could have tempted Maravilla over to Wigan.

Here is a response on behalf of Frank Warren Promotions.

"Just to clarify, Michael Jennings and Gary Locket were both WBO mandatory challengers to Miguel Cotto and Kelly Pavlik respectively. Had they not have taken their fights abroad then they would not have got their chance to fight for the world title."

The same can be said for Lee Purdy.

                  Nice one Frank.

Yeah Ricky fighting Mayweather at his preferred weight in his prime would have been a terrible move...get real.

Warren picked Hatton to beat Mayweather at 140, and Mayweather to win at 147 after he saw how Hatton struggled with Collazo.

Anyway, Mayweather wanted no part of a fight in Manchester after Tszyu lost to Hatton. All he did was yap about how Hatton is a dirty fighter and how he'd never travel to fight in his backyard.

Not a very good article. All Frank Warren is doing here is saying British fighters can't win abroad. In other words, don't leave Frank Warren, stick with him and just fight in the UK all your life with no world titles!

When will Frank realise that British boxers and fans see right through him? Almost every decent boxer he's ever had has left him to pursue world title fights across the pond. Frank is renowned for holding fighters back and this article is him trying to justify that very tactic.
