They always do , nothing needs to be substantiated all it needs is Mayweathers name and the haters run with anything , and when it fizes out they jump on some other BS like they didnt say anything , Matt Hatton and Spadafora were classic examples of haters running wild .

And so what if they did , Canelo called him out not the other way around just like Oscar called Pac out and it was 147 or no fight .

This phukking fraud Schaefer makes Arum look and sound like a saint. This dude is a pure scumbag through and through. You know damn well that Floyd tells his dad and Roger everything about what is going on, they advise him on what's good and what's bad.

People like Schaefer are the type that run companies into the ground and siphon off all the employee 401K money before they file bankruptcy and tell their employees on Friday at 4pm that they aren't getting paid and are all being laid of.

I think they fight next May; Sept is to early for a fight of this magnitude I think they are working on the details od after Sept to get the ball rolling.

Watch him announce Cotto-Canelo in a few days.
People stay stuck in tard land man, I swear. All this is just a flipping front, Canelo and Cotto has been sign, sealed and delivered for a while now. Floyd has Alexander lined up for his next fight and they are throwing Khan's garbage name out there to make it look like he is the next opponent.

Schaefer is a freaking banker man, Arum is a lawyer, two of the professions that epitomize what a liar is.....yet people believe them...

Why would you think that?.. By next May Canelo will be a full blown Middleweight and Floyd would really get no credit even if he beat him at 154.

Schaefer needs to make this fight happen so bad.

let's think about the straight cluster F if this fight doesn't happen.

Canelo wants to fight on mexican independence day weekend

                Mayweather wants the same date

Canelo has vowed to never fight on a Mayweather undercard again unless Mayweather signs a contract to fight him.

so what's GBP going to do if they don't fight each other?

they could potentially have 2 fights that night but only be able to cover one of them, because Canelo won't be on the PPV card even if he fights at a different location (which he's done in the past).

they can't do dual PPVs nor is Showtime going to show one fight for free and another on PPV at the same time. they can't put it on CBS because Alabama is playing that night. it's a messed up situation.

can you imagine how upset fans will be if Showtime doesn't show the Canelo fight? and I don't think Canelo will move his date again. he knows how much power he has.

plus you got Marquez vs Bradley and maybe Abregu vs Prodvodnikov/Alvarado on HBO the same night.

this is all a train wreck waiting to happen.

                Mayweather vs Canelo fixes everything

but Mayweather has no reason to fight Canelo. the man gets 30+ million no matter who he fights, so he doesn't need Canelo. Showtime/GBP messed up when they offered him the contract.

Mayweather is honoring his side of the contract they offered him, why would he want to go out of his way to help Schaefer and Showtime?

It would be interesting to see if GBP goes with Canelo vs Cotto or Floyd vs Alexander for that date.. I think most boxing fans would prefer Canelo vs Cotto.

This is starting to sound like a repeat of what happened in the negotiations between Floyd and Pacquiao. His trainer said this, His father said that...
Pretty soon the promoter Schaefer will be accused for the fight not happening (like Arum) etc... Deja vu all over again.

Money talks, it also puts you in the spotlight, not always a favorable one in the eyes of the entity paying out the big bucks if they don't think they are getting a fair return on their investments. If the CBS bigwigs start getting tired of this, not even Haymon will be able to work magic, Floyd is going to fight who they tell him to fight....that's the bottom line.

You are talking about a MULTI-MULTI-BILLION dollar powerhouse, that's the real money team in this arrangement.
