I'm looking at this one similar to the way I viewed Ward-Dawson. Personally, I think the fight should be in the division of the bigger fighter. But at days end, as long as they fight I'm happy. A Floyd win at 147 would leave a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. But he would still get credit for the win.

Erm Mayweather Sr came out pretty much confirming what Canelo's trainer said.

I agree. Floyd is his best at 147 and his worst at 154. Canelo is a beast at 154 and he's so bid, I don't think that he can even make 147. I'm not even sure if he'll make a catchweight of 150/151. but if they were to fight, it would have to be at 154 for (1) floyd to get full credit, (2) Floyd says that he fights at his opponents best weight, (3) he has to put that title on the line.

Although I am in agreement that Floyd has earned the right to demand the weight just like Oscar did a few years ago, Canelo just can't make that weight and therefore a fight between the two would be impossible unless Floyd gives in a little.

Pretty sure Floyd knows the details, and by extension his father.
