Excellent! Now profess your undying belief that Schaefer cannot tell lies!

          I never said that though.

When Schaefer confirms to me that negotiations have hit a dead end and they are pursuing other options and all of the facts are laid out by all parties involved I will criticize whoever deserves criticism.

Until then, I can only assume that they are still negotiating. From what I've heard, both teams have made the initial offers and there appears to be a weight issue. Maybe it can be ironed out through a change in purse split. We just don't know at this point.

You can't defend his reasoning. You can understand it as a business decision.

But that's as far as I'll go.
It's not a punk move at all. I have a weight I'm comfortable at, I'm the big dog, you challenged me knowing, you have a tremendous size edge as it is, why do I have to make you comfortable and give you any advantages.. Face it, Floyd has the leverage.

When Roy Jones CHALLENGED Ruiz did Ruiz have to drop down to in weight? No Jones challenged him. If you call out the King, it his rules..

I don't doubt that the fight can be made somewhere between 147 and 154 but it is clear that at the start, some facts have surfaced that put Floyd in a bad light. An maybe this will surprsie some but I believe Mayweather wins the fight at any weight. I just wish he believed that.

I followed Jones career VERY close. I met him twice and I even called Square Ring Inc to confirm he was fighting Ruiz when most said he was ducking when in fact he was coming back from a trip. Jones weighed 199/198 and Ruiz lost some weight to make him faster but unless I am reading your post wrong, I know there was no weight stipulation by Jones. Jones is my top 5 favorite fighters ever.

lol @ the fanboys dismissing floyd sr's statements.

if not for floyd sr, floyd would've not demanded additional testing in the negotiations against pac. that's how influential floyd sr is to his son's decisions and they're not even in good terms during that time. how much more now that he's back as the head coach? so if floyd sr says canelo has to come down to 147, he has to or no fight

Mayweather Sr might not be diplomatic but he's not a liar.
Remember how he mentioned Roger was relieved of his duties not because of diabetes?
He's telling the truth about this weight issue. Schaeffer knows if this deal is negotiated in the press then it wont happen otherwise Canelo will have to make 147lbs to get paid.

Man I don't care anymore. Just get this fight done. All these people complaining about the weight issues but when it comes down to it, whether we like it or not, it's gonna come down to 3 things.

                      We're gonna either:

                      1. Buy and watch the fight anyway.
                      2. Go to a friends/family's house and watch it anyway.
                      3. Go to a bar and watch it anyway.

Both fighters need to stop being idiots and just agree to fight because both will get a s**t ton of cash to wipe their asses with.
